Good to see Kirkpatrick and Karpani on the list - back from injury?
Lilly White got 2 tries yesterday.
Getting to debut is a big reward.

I thought she didn’t have a great game overall last night. The way she handled that kick early in the game was bizarre even factoring in the wind, and had another bad error before settling down a bit. Assuming that was just an off-night I think she’ll handle the wing fine. She’ll charge back on kick returns and has enough footwork to not be a sitting duck on yardage runs despite her size. Not like Waterman (nor Strange going back to last year) were big yardage threats themselves.

Kukutai not named in reserve grade either so must be unavailable.

They probably want to see Karpani and Kirkpatrick get some games under their belt rather than going straight into NRLW but not sure how Waterman on the bench will work. Maybe Carter or Tinao replaces her but it seems like Jeffries wants an edge player in that spot.

Grace Kukutai had delayed concussion after the game so has been in the 11 day stand down period.
So no footy till next round

Stoked for Kirkpatrick to be back, she probably needs a good HN season to get her match fit again. Karpani may be the same but is more seasoned and we could do with her fast mobily in D and fast play the balls.

Team confirmed 1 - 17 for tomorrow.

So Waterman on the bench?
All I can think is Gallagher is going to move to second row and Waterman will replace her on the wing at some stage during the game - unless Waterman can also play in the forwards - she looks big enough.

Article that says BJ is experimenting with his backline and talks about the merits of White, Waterman and Willison - says Jefferies was at the reserves game on Monday and he could hear White talking from the other end of the ground and that she really understands her role and the game. Says Waterman needed to have more runs and involvement and she knows what she needs to work on.
Says Willison is experienced, versatile and super fit and can play anywhere from 1 to 6 - Sounds like he can't wait till he can get her into the team.
In the meantime, he says he will use both White and Waterman this week.

Wasn’t sure about Ben Jefferies replacing Ronnie but after listening to him on the Knights HQ podcast he seems like he was a good choice.

Their chat about the girls potentially coaching in the future was interesting and he said Yasmine would actually be the closest to Bellamy. Funny because off the field she’s like a little ray of sunshine but once she crosses that white line, all bets are off.

I hope the Knights have found the money to send the girls down to Canberra yesterday or by plane today.
It would be a tough ask for the girls to get up at 4am for a 5 hour bus trip to play Canberra at 11 am.
Ideally, they are waking up in a good hotel in Canberra about now, and not on a bus going through the Blue Mountains.

socials shows girls were down there riding scooters around Canberra yesterday

Shoot, just tuned in. These early games! Was wondering if we’d struggle a bit after the effort last week.
