NRLW Round 1 - Bulldogs vs Knights - 5:40pm Friday 4 July - Accor Stadium

I feel the dogs were always scripted to win this game regardless of how we played, their first game in NRLW, they wanted to grow interest from fanbase in bulldogs nrlw.
 
Dogs got all the bounce of the ball and rub of the green, Ziggy is a better ref than that (at least I thought he was).

That said, the final try in particular was a shocker in defence from the Knights, and the better team won. It might be a tough rebuilding year for women as well.
 
One thing they really clearly worked on a lot: one back running a decoy before the one who gets it for the yardage carry.

One thing clearly not worked on: decoy runs at any other time.

10/10 coaching no notes.

They were good in defence on try line which was great to see, the dogs had to work for the try's that wernt a crazy bounce of the ball
 
I wouldn’t sugar coat a thing and say any positives apart from maybe Kirkpatrick and Yeo debuts.
There was good efforts by Yas and Evah but outside that not a pass mark for any other player.

Our middle stock is thin and that effort tonight shows that they’re not upto the level to make a charge

May sneak into finals but that would be it

Hopefully spine better with Higgins back but already think it needs tinkering with Roache to 13, Jones to 6 and there a reason Vette Walsh has been allowed to go from how many clubs now.

I know white had bit of shocker but would prefer her at fullback and maybe Finau into centre with Willison to wing

We only played 1 trial when maybe should have played 2 but a few players bad tonight were bad in that trial also
 
Well, now I’ve had a chew and am not hangry anymore, I’m going for the positive thought of blowing out the cobwebs.
Now we know what needs improving, which is nearly everything, we can get to work.
 
Well on the plus side I don’t think they could possibly play any worse than that.

They looked fine in the trial, I don’t get why they were playing so frantic. The completion rate was atrocious. Was like watching the men’s team.

The goal line defence was good they did well to hold up a lot of those bulldogs forwards but they shouldn’t have been defending their line so much in the first place.

The middle defence was a dogs breakfast, gaps everywhere. Not good enough given the backs and edges were taking all the carries. Predebon needs to get fitter she was leaving massive holes in the line from being lazy.

The left edge has defensive issues and we went they way in attack too much. Need to use the right hand side more. Jesse needs to be given full control. She wasn’t helped not having Liv there.

What Parr has done to this team should’ve got him sacked. Never wanted Ron to leave but frankly I think he’s too good for this club. Hope he kills it at the Wahs. These idiots have no idea what success looks like
