NRLW Round 1 - Bulldogs vs Knights - 5:40pm Friday 4 July - Accor Stadium

Yeah glad I missed this game. Reading over this thread, bottom 4 looks likely.
I disagree.
The hype about the Bulldogs was correct - top 4 for them - finals not out of the question for us.
It was a very high standard game.
They were the better side, and also got some lucky bounces of the ball that made the scoreline worse than it should have been.
We'll get a lot easier games, and Bulldogs will trouble everyone.

They did score two tries off unbelievable bounces, and there were a bunch of calls like the Praebon strip that could have (and IMO should have) been ruled the other way. It wasn't end-of-the-world stuff, even if there's obviously plenty to work on.

The only thing that particularly annoyed me was the dive over try from the hooker which they just clocked off on. Hopefully, a lesson learned there.

I don’t have high hopes for the season, I have to say. From moving Griffiths to NSW Cup onwards it’s just been a textbook in how to dismantle a premiership winning team. Absolutely bizarre from the Knights.

Basically they don’t seem to care about the side whatsoever, which is so incomprehensible when it was the one successful part of the club. So now we’re reaping what we sowed. :(

My take out from the game was the standard it was played at. The depth in the women's game is improving exponentially, no worries at all with expansion in that comp.
