NRLW GF Qualifier - Broncos vs Knights - 1:15pm Sunday 28 September - Suncorp Stadium

Considering Broncos usually run away with games in the second half the defence has been pretty good this half.

Shame Jesse decided not to bother playing. Honestly let Brisbane deal with the mess her and Upton create. They might be getting more than they bargained for
 
The mystery about this season for me is why Fane Finau took so long to make firstgrade.
I thought she was close to our best in Tarsha Gale and HVN both last year and at times this year.
 
Roche is a pretty smart footy player think she can be halfback next year fine. At least as well as Jesse this year anyway. She needs to improve fitness though, will help her running game which is already pretty decent.

NRL need to scrap current rules for development players. There’s too many injuries, all development players need to be able to play at any time. That way we can also play Ella-Jaye who I’m keen to see

Might’ve been becuase of the stupid development player rules. Last week the Titans had to start their winger on the bench because she’s a development player. Its ridiculous. Too many injuries, not a long enough pre-season to prepare them properly. Just let the girls play
 
Finau wasn't eligible, they're strict on the development player rules in the NRLW. She got promoted to the top squad once Staines had her season-ending injury and then debuted the same week.
 
Stella Lewis goes straight into the NRLW squad next year. I looked up when she turns 18 and it's december.
She might be better than Fane and Evah.
I think Emily McArthur is straight into the top grade too. She was close to our best middle in reserves today.
 
What's happened with Kayla Henderson? Could she step up too nrlw level at fullback? I haven't seen much of her

She has had a good year at fullback/wing, but is still young and would need a big preseason to make firstgrade next year.

Didn’t Hannah do a similar presser when Millie bailed out I think from memory

But in all seriousness, I said it at start of season that Jessie looked uninterested all year after the origin series

Wether it was related to her relationships or what, the fact she was in Brisbane trying their facilities a few days before one of our games that we lost towards end of the year when she had been performing underwhelming I think she never wanted to be here this year so if she was here in future it would be a massive distraction

I have a mate that worked with the side in their grand final years and he said half the team wasn’t willing to put the effort in to make it fitness wise so maybe a change of scenery can shake that up for her and she comes back here a better player, or we find a sparkle with someone new, but we can’t just settle on someone or throw a ridiculous contract around just to try to entice.

A year of pain next year to develop could be a good thing in long run if needed

Hannah wasn’t having a go at Millie then, more like Dibb, Weale etc.

Yeah lack of fitness has been an issue, think you can tell who does take it seriously. I think Jeffries has tried to improve them in that aspect
 
Even with how dominant the Broncos were, our girls did play very disjointed. Almost like they lost some connection somehow.

I wish she was totally committed but if not, whatever. I think empirically this club is proven to be a good environment, a 3rd place finish for roster people were picking to finish closer to 3rd last. Should honestly be appealing to others.

It sucks she’s leaving as a local and the first player we ever signed, but it need not necessarily be locals that you develop. Maybe this girl from Ipswich loves the joint as much as Georgia, who’s relocated to Newy permanently. It happens.
