NRLW 2026

2nd week in a row, the Roosters have gotten home off the back of some BS officiating.

Not great for the league at any level to have these favoured teams getting favoured officiating. It would have been good for the NRLW for the Raiders to win today (and the Knights women to win last week).

Jesus what’s going on with the Eels? Haven’t watched any of their games but I thought they’d go ok with that forward pack especially adding Keeley Joseph to it but apparently not

Part of the issue is Joseph & K Cherrington both not playing atm, but they are one of many clubs fielding girls who just aren't at the standard required.

Interesting thing this season is that I think both Roosters & Broncos are also carrying some bang average players who are basically total non-contributors so it may be more open than I thought. Still the favourites because of their strike players but I can see one of them missing the GF.

That makes a bit more sense. Didn’t realise neither had played yet, thanks

Yeah to me Roosters have a greater spread of top talent across the park than the Bronx but they’re always in danger of letting their arrogance get in their way, thankfully.

The Bronx are more dependent on just Tamika which is fine, if she’s fit she’ll can win them the comp on her own almost but if anything happens to her, they’re done

Toohey's news today;

Knights are talking to Jefferies for next year, but so are Canterbury.
Big job for him if he were to go down there. Think the easier thing for him would be to stay here. He’s obviously done a good job with all the juniors, you’d think he’d want to see that come to fruition at some point, instead of starting over again at the Dogs

Guess it will depend how much money Gus is willing to throw at him

The number of ACLs already after 3 games is crazy. I know women are a lot more prone to them but this seems nuts. Surely they need to look into longer pre-seasons or something?

The Knights won’t want to many more injuries either there’s already a fair number gone for the season. Thankfully it seems they do have better depth than most teams though

This is worth a listen - Nakia Davis-welsh talks about her career - staring for the Jillaroos in the 2017 world cup - returning after having kids - moving from Cronulla to the Knights - playing in 7 All Stars games - says this is her last year. Talks about the Knights players having their own space and lockers and how different that is from other teams - says this is her last year and she has plans to do something in Newcastle next year.
All very positive.

What is it about the NRLW, so many of the players seem very arrogant and full of themselves and their self importance …
Roosters players mostly. Don’t have too much problem with anyone else.
Seems to be a club thing there

I wouldn’t call any of the Knights players arrogant. Even Tamika who might actually have the right to a bit of arrogance with how good she is I wouldn’t call arrogant

That’s pretty poor from her. Without fans she’s nothing
Don’t think she actually having a go at fans more the other clubs

Think it was in relation to some criticisms from Lara Pitt about the two horse race and how are other clubs supposed to attract the top players
