NRL Round 8 - Warriors Vs Knights - 6:05pm Friday 25 April - Apollo Projects Stadium, Christchurch

At least look at the positive that both our cup team and flegg teams take on warriors teams much higher on the ladder than them tomorrow so they will probably get beat too so that will make 5 weeks straight of them being beaten too and have all 3 main grades running last

We can only go up from here 🥹🥹🥹

Another underwhelming performance by the team .next week I reckon is our last throw at the stumps this season the management and coaches not going to have the balls to make changes but hopefully few Elliott Jsaf and gamble back I would go sharpe fullback gamble six Hastings 7 ponga is a myth atm and his 24000 a week can play at a suburban ground in nsw cup rather then show boating around at magic round

Ponga clearly isn't interested any more. Offload him to the chooks, and sack AOB. I don't know if Ponga is wanting a release and that's why he Is playing so badly, or if the Dylan Brown goings on has caused him to be off but something is definitely not right. I watched him tonight carefully. A lot of the time he spent wondering around behind the ruck. It wouldn't suprise me at all if he and his scheming sponging father start trying to do a Galvin.

What a terrible game, our right side was ordinary, especially Schiller, yet to show me anything much, Gags received some ordinary passes but also threw a few. Left side was good, Best and Marzhew in both attack and defence. Ponga was ordinary, like disinterested. Cogger and Sharpe are not first grade halves, very disjointed effort, Sharpe always looks dangerous in open play but doesn’t link with his players it’s a case of run or throw it. Forwards, Leo was best, KPP made efforts but didn’t create much, Frizell was usual steady along with Croker and Lucas will be better for the run. Brailey was better than Crossland but our 9 needs to be better. Bench, Jones was the pick but not great, Cant tries but lacks line breaking, Tyrone T ? sorry didn’t notice him

Easy. Pull the reins and the bit out of the horses mouth and let them run free. Too many guys in straight jackets. This is football so let them damn play. Don't fill the brain with "game plans" just freakin play some footy. Watch what the opposition did last week and go in with a yep they are doing the same thing so let's pull the trigger. Once we score and they do something different we will do this instead. Oh waitttt.............

Ponga won’t get dropped or be moved so he is our 1.
Hastings to 7, bite the bullet, turn him loose, tell him it’s now and only now, play for your future.
Gamble to 6, it’s likely our best option at 6 & 7 at this time, Schiller had a shocker so Sharpe to right wing along side Gagai with Best and Marzhew on left. We need a reliable experienced halves combination that will also allow Ponga to play his game.
Fwds, need JSaf and Elliott back. 8. JSaf/Frizell, 9/14 Brailey/Crossland, 10. Leo, 11 Lucas, 12 KPP, 13 Elliott/Frizell/Croker, 15 Frizell/Croker/Cant, 16 Jones, 17 Croker/Tyrone.
If both JSaf and Elliott in then Cant and Tyrone to Cup along with Schiller

To be honest I really don’t think any personnel changes are going to fix anything. We’re well past that point

Other than bringing back the injured guys I don’t see the point of making mass changes. The only change I could see having any impact whatsoever would be dropping Ponga as a strong message but that’s obviously not going to happen.

Give McDermott the rest of the season. Send AOB to Western Reds with Brad Arthur.

AOB seemed clueless as usual as to how to fix the mess in the press conference
I don’t blame him for all of it though, the playing group needs to be held accountable for poor performance.
Especially Ponga.
Captain, highest paid player , attacking spearhead and he looked totally disinterested and displayed no leadership or willingness to control and steer his side. And zero f*cks given by him.
There is more to his no show at the presser, and lack of any mention by AOB or the journalists.
There is **** going on, and if I see headlines soon saying “KP quits” I won’t die of surprise .

I find it strange his absence wasn’t even mentioned in the presser (although the journos might have thought that would be insulting to Friz).

It’s so strange. Literally a month ago he was saying how happy he was and POS was talking extending him on a 2 mill contract.

Wareiors here, a good win for us but lots need to be done. I am not going to knock your guys as it seems apparent to me that at least some issues are off field as the effort was there but also a lack of direction. I think if the players continue to work like they are then improvement is close. Best wishes.

Look, I didn't want to say anything earlier but I went to a training session the other week and I can probably see where things are going wrong.
