NRL Round 8 - Warriors Vs Knights - 6:05pm Friday 25 April - Apollo Projects Stadium, Christchurch

I have been involved with this club since its inception. That is the worst performance I have ever seen!! Purely embarrassing they needed to aim up and didn’t. We pay huge money to watch them and they are woeful

He isn’t, have seen it mentioned a few times before. And the Knights didn’t realise this before they signed him either haha.
There was a game where Knights played Melbourne maybe? About 12yrs or so ago and Newcastle were getting pumped. That Ben Cross stormed into the sheds and just blasted the absolute crap out of them until the paint peeled off the walls. Coach just stood back and let him do his thing. Newcastle came out and won the bloody game!

We really are lacking a big scary dude who leads by example, intimidates the s*** out of everyone and is respected by all. Each week we’ve lost the other side has one of those guys just driving the standard while the Knights look hopelessly lost and confused. Bringing back Saifiti and Hethrington won’t give us that guy either. Bloody had it with this lot.

Kalyn dropped, Sharpe to fullback.

Nothing would send a stronger message.
Let's go the whole hog, the season is otherwise just about done.

1. Sharpe
2. McCarthy
6. Gamble
7. Ponga
9. Arthur
8. Jones
14. Crossland
17. Friz

Cogger - Super League

Rest as programmed.

PS. I'm only half joking about this but fully expected more of the same from AOB next week.

How much more is Pappy involved and the Storm have Hughes and Munster...we have Cogger and Sharpe but KP is MIA...beggars belief.

I counted at least twice where KP tried to set something up and Brails when short to a forward into the line on the opposite side. KP deserves plenty of stick for going missing but wasn't helped by Brailey tonight.
There were a couple times, but sometimes i feel like Ponga is "scanning" and switching from side to side only to pretend that's he's being busy and involved. He switches from side to side far too late and is basically a non threat coz he's stuck way too close to the play the ball.

He needs to just play like a traditional fullback, enough of this switching side to side rubbish.

Chime into the backline when you see something....

Funny thing is he will be picked for origin and be the best player on the park.

I actually don’t think he’s a great traditional fullback. He’s an amazing player but his skill set doesn’t really fully suit fullback or half. He’s seems to have gone back to just loitering behind the ruck again with no intention of backing up the play like he was doing in the early seasons. If that was Tedesco or Edwards he’d be buzzing around the ball through the middle but he’s never really done that.

Pisses me off when he just dives to the ground when catching every kick. He should be tearing teams apart with a scattered defensive line. I don't think i've ever seen Edwards or Tedesco do that.

We haven’t had that for a long time, either. Klemmer had the talk but was too unhinged to lead the team. Not sure what it is about this group. Even when Leo should be reaching that stage, he’s looking for another club with a strong leader to learn from. It’s almost like our forwards lose their testosterone when they join the club.
