NRL Round 8 - Warriors Vs Knights - 6:05pm Friday 25 April - Apollo Projects Stadium, Christchurch

If these muppets don't fire up tomorrow night after hearing the last post then I have no idea what would get them going.

Problem is we are playing warriors ergo New Zealand, who I think the last post would give more motivation to.

1 team representing whole country, and Newcastle. That jersey we are going to wear that links directly to the town should give them some steel.

I don't expect us to win, but the last post should at least put a fire in their belly and put in a decent performance

This week, Gamble injured, playing away, Cogger a consistent failure for what we need, This was the game Hastings should have been selected.
Yes he has been disruptive and had injury problems, but with the opportunity to save his career with a chance to show what he can still do it could be beneficial to both him and Club.
Sharpe would likely be better with a senior player alongside him who understands the game better.
We are long odds to win so something different is needed, we needed to try something

This will be another thing the media focuses on if we lose this one.

Hastings sitting in reserve grade. The talk will be ob leaving a specialist 7 in reserves, letting players dictate the selections, and not being able to manage the personalities.

Can see NRL 360 yapping on about it now.

Why bring Hastings when he is on the out, been average in reserves and his attitude stinks.

Gambles first game of the year last week and we scored more points.....it's a shame he is injured for the wahs game.

Yes bad luck Gamble injury, he is our best option but out injured.
Hastings is definitely on the out, average is more likely sulking but receiving money by turning up and playing sort of ok.
Give him the chance to show, chance to create interest from possible future clubs, want to play top football for top money then go out and show them, can’t do any worse than Cogger and if failing then Crossland to 7 and Brailey to 9.

The wahs bench terrifies me. They have the most explosive young forwards in the game and they are all coming off that bench after the 20 min mark ready to terrorize us if we don't get the jump on them. Our bench is tiny in comparison.

Yeah Leka Halasima in particular looks like he’s going to be unreal.

Warriors here, Webster has hinted the named team os not what will run out. Personally I would start Halasima and have Niukore as bench middle rotation. Te Maire Martin onto the bench for Laban. I know Capewells limitations, particularly defensively but seems to have a good influence on the young guys. Martin provides utlity value and allows Harris-Tavita to spell Egan.

Are they wearing the ANZAC jersey or are they saving it as some teams do for the next home game?

If they are wearing it, I hope they put on a good performance.

In Cogger's defence, he's the only Knights 7 to post wins this season or to be involved in a result where the Knights scored more than 20.

So maybe he can help them spark some attack ....looking for any positives at this point tbh.
