NRL Round 7 - Roosters Vs Knights - 2:00pm Sunday, 19th April - Allianz Stadium

Manuleleua was our only forward to run 100 metres (120) and also made 31 tackles but missed 6.
That was easily his best game ever.
He'll probably have a shocker next week, but I think we've got a proper firstgrader once he gets up to speed.
I like that he wasn’t a wallflower today, just hoping to do his job. He had a crack at everything. On a tough day of footy, he really stood out.

Start of season almost everybody would have taken a 4-3 start to the season

When we lost pong/dyl we would take 4-3 at this time

We are still playing well above where we were last 2 seasons, we just have to work harder on these games where momentum goes against us at stages But that’s a game wide issue at moment with as soon as 1 teams gets momentum it’s almost all over

Good to see that young guys like Hunt,Francis and Jermaine are playing above their pay grade

Just still getting that reminder that NRL is a step up and we will be better on long run
Just like Warriors,Dogs,Broncos,Panthers who had times like this and now are the top 4 teams in the comp

Was a good game, especially first half. Considering our injured players our boys tried hard but fatigue caused a few problems in second half.
Sharpe was a bit off, seemed lost at times, had trouble it seemed adjusting to f/b while Brown looked under done.Hunt put in big performance and Manu looked good, the experience will do him good, Croker was big again, he has shown it every week.
Disappointing to lose but we are going ok and when others return we will be giving a few teams a fright

We should have been playing a lot more defensive, we are just giving them more and more offense...

Feels like Sharpe is playing out of position. Should have been playing in the centre maybe.
At the risk of offending many on this forum, and considering Sharpe is still carrying injury I was very surprised that Holbrook selected Sharpe at fullback this week with the amount of running that is required for the position.
Just a thought.

It’s actually pretty positive signs for club obviously would love to beat the roosters but we are dominating teams for periods during the games. If we can improve this team and get some guys back we will be up there in a year or two.
Commentators said Ponga is still 3 weeks out. Is that true? Thought he was due back soon?

Yep, he looked way off. Didn’t wanna get down and dirty and jump on a few balls because of his knee. Was way out of position and jogging on a fair few occasions. Didn’t look threatening at all running the ball.
