Stats are in for reserve grade.
Cody Hopwood played 72 minutes at prop and made 47 tackles with 3 missed - 72 fantasy points.
Jacob Davis played 80 minutes at hooker and made 61 tackles with 1 missed - 66 fantasy points.
Kyle McCarthy had a try, a try assist, a line break assist, ran 16 times for 169 metres, made 15 tackles with 2 missed, 58 fantasy points.

I watched some for the cup game on barTV. McCarthy played well. I think he could step in. What I have seen of him is he can do a job without being great. Odd error in him, but defensively pretty sound.

Hunt has more upside to me for points and attack but is he better than McCarthy in defence?

If they decide to put Sharpe at FB I think Hollbrook will pick Hunt in the centres as he leans more into attack than defence.

I don’t agree with some on here saying it was all WDC and not Greg. Couple of tries Greg was in no man’s land. Obviously not confident on his inside man.

Basically Greg needs a strong defender inside him to help him because he has his deficiencies at reading plays.

It’s happened for years now, as soon as Best is out and they put someone else in centre Greg goes **** and we leak points.

I am pro McCarthy this week and Hunt goes to 19.
The main reason is coverage if one of the back 5 goes down or if Brown or Smith goes down then you put Sharpe back to 6 and Hunt to fullback.

Probably Holbrook and staffs first big blip with going with a left side player at right centre.

I’m on board with McCarthy or Hunt at right Centre. Though I am concerned for Sharpe’s knee at fullback, lots of contact and extra loading. So having Sharpe as centre coverage might be the okay in the end with Brown and Sandon in the halves.

I like Saulo starting as he nailed that job against Dogs, Mooney off bench.

For those who go/drive down is the parking the same as it’s always been? Park on a random patch of grass for $30 bucks or try your luck on the streets?
Haven’t been to a Knights and Roosters game since they played a few at the SCG
Being on a Sunday it might be worth trying luck with street parking without the metered parking spots

Hunt can't be fullback again, agree to 19, under the highball he is atrocious. Sharpe to FB and McCarthy to Centre, feel that Hunt be as bad as WDC at fullback, ideally get Hunt in cup @ FB to work on his weakness's and build confidence.

I can see your point. He definitely does not look like his usual self. Reece Walsh had a similar injury last year. He played through it from memory. Was not quite himself then exploded when the finals come around.

Yeah and even if he's not 100%, the gulf in attacking threat between Sharpe and anyone else we could play there, as well as in game awareness, decision-making, reading the play, etc, it's all massive. If he's fit to play in the NRL he's fit to play fullback.

I think Walsh's one was actually worse, he was gone for over a month, and I distinctly remember him taking a knock during the warm up in one of his return games, **** looked like he could barely move... yep found it:

Then he went on to play in this game, 20 runs for 181 metres, 1 line break, 3 line break assists, 2 try assists. Broncos 34 Sharks 28.

I know it's easy to say but it's just pain. This is a tough game for hard men. They'll strap him up again and he'll do what we need him to.

Sharpe easily ran down a tigers player when they made a break in second half, so unless he was slightly stuffed after that then he seems to be decent enough, might depend on the actually limiting and landing element constantly too though

I actually thought that play (if we're thinking of the same one) showed how hampered Sharpe is.

I believe he was chasing Turuva who was also running on one leg and struggled to make ground on him for most of it - I reckon Sharpe would ordinarily dust Turuva, let alone Turuva carrying a leg injury.
