NRL Round 6 - Tigers Vs Knights - 4:05pm Sunday, 12th April - Campbelltown Sports Stadium

I think we need Schiller in to the 19 over one of the forwards to give us that outside back cover.
Yeah obviously this could change on gameday but I find it very strange to not name an outside back in the 19.

Though he can do a job, the whole point of the 19-man bench is so that we don't have to randomly move Dylan Lucas to right centre mid-game.

If it remains as named I assume they plan to use Gamble as that cover - shifting Sharpe to fullback and Hunt to the outside backs. While that is a workable solution, I'm rarely in favour of significant disruption to the spine mid-game, particularly to integrate Gamble as opposed to someone like Sandon.

Watching the tigers play, whenever douehi gets the ball.. the play dies. As long as we keep him from breaking the line he is rendered useless. Madden has been playing well and is much more threatening imo. If we can keep the pressure on madden and rush him when he is kicking hopefully we can throw him off his game. Tigs also been playing very good second phase after an offload, similar to us. Need to lock up the likes of KPP as he’ll be looking for a big game against his former club. Confident the boys can get the job done, tigers aren’t quite as polished as the ladder has them looking.

Shutting down their 2nd phase should be a massive focus, they currently average the most offloads in the comp at 14.8. just reading through some stats of note, they also sit 2nd for average PCM, 3rd for average run metres and also average the least amount of missed tackles.
They have also benefited from having the most possesion of any club at 54%

Credit where credit is due, they’re stats that only a well drilled team could put together over 4 rounds

Man for man I think we’re the better side and I think we’ve beaten stiffer competition, but going off those figures they are definitely playing well.
I’m thinking we might get a controlling refereeing display which won’t allow us to get into the game. These “game of the round” type match ups tend to bring the refs onto centre stage.

Another ref got dropped this week for telling a player not to challenge.
Hopefully the NRL and refs are taking it seriously and try their best.

barTV is doing the Knights reserve grade game as a free broadcast for the 3rd time this year - It is on after firstgrade and at the same venue so our extended bench players will have a chance to get some match fitness. They might even give guys who played short minutes in firsts a bit more time.

I was surprised how late they’re playing that game. Would have thought it would have been before the 1st grade game. Maybe they’re worried about the ground getting ripped up

Apparently a lot of sides are playing reserves after firsts so they can give 18 and 19 a run and keep them match fit. First time we have played after firsts.
