NRL Round 6 - Knights V Tigers - McDonald Jones Stadium - 4:05pm Sunday 13th April

Just saw a video of the aftermath. Was sitting near this bloke during Cup and he was already starting to carry on.
Looks like that tiger fan ate punches in bunches and zigged every time he should have zagged. 😳

Dally M votes: Terrell May 6, Lachlan Galvin 3, Jahream Bula 2, Fonua Pole 1.

Third week in a row a Knights player has failed to collect a point.

It's usually a mental thing ball handling, Obi said in presser he thinks team is gitterish in attack and making them nervous with ball in hand, all well and good hearing that but that should be taken care of during week at training and then implemented by senior players during game. That just isn't happening right now.

We’re definitely a confidence team when it comes to attack, and unfortunately confidence only comes from winning. I do agree with AOB’s comments that he thinks they have the “yips” at the moment with the ball, and it’s not really something you can just work on in training one week. We’ve seen this a few times now the last few seasons (but not as severe) and it takes us a lot of time to get over it.

I think our most detrimental game was the Titans one to be honest. We went into the game trying to score on every play, made a lot of errors and now we’ve lost complete confidence after an OK start to the year.

I have been an avid Knights supporter since 1988 and a member for at least 30 years, and NEVER have I seen a more inept, bumbling, embarrassing display than what was dished up yesterday. The only saving grace was the continued good form of KPP and the emergence of Tyrone Thompson who will no doubt be more than a suitable replacement for his brother. Back to the "game", our attack is absolute rubbish. Where has the flair and cohesive play that we are so used to seeing? I will be there again for the Sharks, God help us!!!

We were terrible against the Tigers in Round 1 and very lucky to win. 16 errors in that game, more than yesterday. One good half against the Dolphins isn't an OK start to the year in my book.

That’s why I said just OK. It wasn’t great, but we were a heap better the first two games than we are now. We made a heap of errors but at least we were also making a lot of line breaks and we looked like we might score at some point if we held the ball. Now we don’t even look like scoring.

If AOB does nothing but give Marz a cuddle and another week I'll be disappointed. Ponga is our best player but he is too laid back about awful decisions and poor efforts from his teammates to be captain. I don't expect him to work the ref the way Cameron Smith used to but he barely raises a protest about anything. Ponga needs to fire up.

AOB said we had the yips in attack? We had no ball control. The majority of the lost balls was in collision mostly from the backs. And a lot of them were on play one. So you can’t attack or even get it out of your end if you can’t hold on to the ball. Marzhew was the worst culprit but they all had one or two.
yeah it definitely looked like the yips. we got through early sets ok, but then nobody looked relaxed after one or two errors occured. then you try too hard to dig yourself out - quicksand.
one of my good mates was a pitcher for the texas rangers, he hit a guy in the head & got the yips. completely forgot how to throw a ball for 6 months. the videos are incredible.

Mistake watch: 75 from five games, bang on 15 per game. Outstanding achievement.
It's the only thing that is making reset and continue is that they just need to get that **** together and possession and opportunities will be back presenting itself. The defence has done remarkedly well with the amount of possession against them. So control the game and start winning some damn footy games. Hopefully we can get some troops back and the injury curse can slow its roll.

Interesting stat, time on field - Jones selected 8, moved to bench played 24 + 6 - 30mins is he carrying an injury.
Others From bench Arthur 28mins, McEwen 30mins, Croker 47mins
Starters Leo 58mins, Brailey 52mins, Tyrone 33mins, Cant 80mins, KPP 80mins, Frizell 42mins
Jones only played more than Arthur - not in favour with Coach?

Arthur is a hooker playing his first NRL game, I'm not sure what point you are trying to make here.

Insane, I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything like it especially over so many games.

I don’t know what solves it but yips or not the coach has to come up with something so that they’re not taking one out runs and being smashed by a wall of defence.

Need some two pass carries and shift the ball early to edges to make yardage because one out runs up the middle ain’t working
