NRL Round 6 - Knights V Tigers - McDonald Jones Stadium - 4:05pm Sunday 13th April

Sigh...he made 3, one was trying to take a poor pass from Bradman on a crash play at the death.

He also kicked it dead to hand the tigers a 7 tackle set. But I'm not so critical about his poor halfback play, of which there was plenty, because he's not a halfback. Straight back to hooker next week and never seen in 7 again thanks

Not going to put going to put that lose on Crossland . Could put Cleary behind our powder puff forwards & he would struggle . Watched the titans play the last couple of weeks & constantly thinking how did we not beat them . This is going to be a long season . Not looking forward to the sharks game . But alas I will be there . Talk about a gluten for punishment !

Ok add the kicking error but the rest of his kicking game in his first game in the 7 for a long time was solid, certainly better than Cogs...yet still, the focus is Crossland and not another poor performance from Ponga.

Of course it's not on him but he was terrible. Just like Marz, Sharpe and plenty of others. No point dressing it up
He wasn't though and IDK why he's receiving so much heat given he puts his body on the line every game to protect our line. Marz was sure, and Sharpe is struggling but seriously.

Geez what can you say about that one. Went to the game, sorry I bothered.

That was about as bad a performance an NRL team can turn in and still think of themselves as an NRL team. That was deplorable.

Ponga, again, we need to get him in first receiver a hell of a lot more than he is. He is our X factor and when he gets ball in hand is dangerous, things happen. Sending the ball to Crossland/Cogger or Sharpe at 1st receiver is killing us. If we aren't going to go with a proper NRL halfback, we must get our best attacking weapon touching the ball as much as possible. Also, one of the tries which they scored from a Grubber to the corner Ponga was way out of position for no where near where he should have been.

Marzhew needs to be dropped this week, I don't care who for, but you can't turn in consecutive weeks like he has and remain. OB is kidding himself and negligent in setting standards if Greg is allowed to remain another week.

That try at the death was peak Knights fans. Disgusting display all game and yet the fans all cheering and waving the flags at end when we scored. Like we achieved anything with that. That performance deserved booing off the field.

Absolutely disgraceful effort and very few can hold their heads high after that.

Game was a shocker, forced myself to watch it all, missed a few players with injuries but the problem goes deeper than that, feel sorry for Sharpe who is learning but needs a top 7 with him, he has been poor last few weeks as has Ponga, Marzhew and a few others. Time to bite the bullet in selection and development of players. Based on past efforts our best 7 is Cogger/Hastings and until Gamble is ok could be our best 6 & 7. Gamble is our best 6 but Sharpe may be better in 2026/27, time will tell. Sharpe needs to play Cup to sort out his game at 6 or 7, we are disjointed. Leo was best on field and Tyrone was strong but still needs time, would have been better with Jones starting, he went ok, but Tyrone would have been better coming on later, short on fitness me thinks. Crossland is a 14, Brailey is better 9, Arthur looked ok but give him time, we should be looking at 2026. Cant plays strong but I only see him as an injury fill in not a regular in 17, McEwen looks more likely but get him back to Cup to develop. In our star studded back 5 McCarthy didn’t look out of place.. The thing in most danger during game was my TV, only had cushions to throw

So question, tried Ponga at 6 and it failed despite his talent and the amount of games he had played prior. Then we try a young bloke called Sharpe at 6 having played few first grade games, wing and FBack, and expect it to work, WHY??????

Oh my God I HATED that. I really wanted us to finish with no tries. It’s no wonder the club is able to coast when 90% of the fan base don’t care about the performances.

There was more excitement in the crowd than on the field. Had someone spill their beer all over our seats when we went for a break at half time and some blatant violence ending with blood and a west tigers supporter in police handcuffs in the second half. The tigers supporters sounded louder than the knights supporters. First game in years.

I thought the whole team looked fatigued and off pace about 10 mins in. Maybe the game last week took a toll out of them?
Hard to be critical of the halves as we spent most of the game defending inside of our own half.
Massive amounts of errors across the park. Couldn't hold onto the ball, silly simple stuff.

It appears to me that there is a bit of low morale at the club at the moment. We haven't had a great game since the trials.
Hopefully it turns around soon. Maybe Gamble could bring some of his mongrel and spark back to the side in the coming weeks, they need something to motivate them.
