NRL Round 6 - Knights V Tigers - McDonald Jones Stadium - 4:05pm Sunday 13th April

That was the saddest, most lethargic 26,000 crowd I've ever seen or heard.

Just like the players on the field we were out-enthused by the Tigers fans. I know we didn't have alot to cheer for but even in the pre-game when the team ran out, could be excused for thinking the attendance was half of what it was.

What's happened to the atmosphere at our homeground?

I have turned a Knigts game off twice in the last 10 years. 1st against Parra when Ponga played at 6 and the 2nd was today.
I felt so ashamed but I just couldn't watch a team have so much talent and play so poorly...
I'll give our foward pack a shout out, they have been the best part of of team this year and have defended so well

Yeah agree. brown would not have have made any difference to that rabble today. Like he’s doing currently at the eels. We need all of our teams to be accountable every week. Too many excuses as to why we can’t perform.

Leo, Cant, KPP had decent games....that's about it really.
At the ground our forwards got monstered by the tigers . For mine May is 10 x better then Leo . Anyone that thinks DB will make any difference to that rabble is kidding themselves .Hope it's just coincidence that Ponga has gone MIA since we signed Brown. Haven't got Leo anyway next year . The future looks interesting at least.we are nowhere near the eight this year

Perhaps if it hurts the club in the hip pocket they might actually ask questions within themselves.

Before start I just want to say I don’t want to sound like that guy, BUT…

I’m very concerned about the future. When we offloaded a few guys and set to do the same this year I envisioned we would have a giant pot of gold to play with and maybe pickup another marquee and 2 or 3 or more very promising guys. I wasn’t super thrilled when they decided to almost give the lot to Dylan Brown and after his showing I’m really not impressed honestly. I hope I’m wrong but I feel like this club went from being the club with all the aces up its sleeve to proudly flaunting its pair of 2’s. Not exactly a lot for us long suffering fans to be super hopeful about.

God I hope I’m wrong 😟
I for one am hearing you. I hope you are wrong . Went to watch all three grades . Watched three defeats .

Crossland getting a point in MSKOTW will do me. Must be a gee up.

I'm semi related news, I really think we need to keep KPP. But it's probably unfair to if we're never going to use his offloads.
I agree we need him big time. And absolutely we have this beast that can offload and create second phase play which this team desperately needs and we constrain him. He need to do it in the right moment but if we don’t change something the best we will get is just in the 8. And that’s a big stretch how we are currently playing. No confidence flair dominance or energy.

Better go old school and give them a football to carry around for the week.

Handling errors are absolutely killing us. Protect the ball. Earn the right.

Watched the Storm today, and on one play Paps passed the ball wide as he was tackled, Coates? then went to the line and got held up and was working to offload, Paps worked to free himself and get back in behind the ball to get the offload and off they went. Don’t know what my point is, but it’s polar opposite to what we see.

Last week was one of those games. An Injury running onto the field is just bad luck.

Today was not good enough.

Back to the drawing board.

Could be our Nanai if utilised properly.. Instead we use him as a battering ram.

Bradman is another perfect example of an excellent attacking player being under utilised in our system.

It was funny watching the Eels actually do a decent job defending the try line and have a big of a dig but when it came to broken play in the middle of the field they fell apart and couldn’t hold onto or tackle anyone. Dylan at least tried in that regard but when the wheels fell off oh boy they sure did.

I lasted 76 minutes and the bastards managed to score a try in the remaining 4 minutes. It makes me hate them even more.

Also walking out of the stadium past the trotting track and seeing the ‘Centre of excellence’ lit up is a genuine pisstake.
Yep

He’s a great player but like KP in games like today where was KP mia. He will be the same unfortunately. I’m hopeful we can pull together but this year under pressure we have gone to water. Very similar to past seasons. When we are good we are great. When we’re bad we are awful.

Fortunately that’s been most teams this year, daylight between their best and worst. Be in form when it’s most important. Even that first game when we couldn’t do anything Ponga looked to be getting involved. But also and probably intentionally they were kicking to Marzhew all day who produced a mixed bag of some poor drops but also some good catches and solid runs from back there.
I think just hope some of the guys who are out come back sooner rather then later and go from there.

That was so bad I actually don’t know how we fix it. We’re so conservative in attack, but at the same time make simple error after simple error. At this point I think we just need to get away from the conservative game plan. We’re going to drop the ball regardless.

I was really disappointed in the entire team and AOB today.

Only highlight of the day was Simmo's Mathews side going down to Wollongong and smashing the minor premiers for their 6th win in a row.
Every other team lost badly, although Tarsha Gale was robbed by a series of disgraceful refs calls in sudden death extra time.
Steelers were minor prems too werent they?
