NRL Round 5 - Knights Vs Raiders - 4:05pm Sunday, 5th April - McDonald Jones Stadium

We’ll wanna put in a big performance regardless. Big emphasis on connecting to the miners, mining round. Wanting to perform for the home crowd, where we haven’t got a result for awhile.
This might just be what gets us over the line, I reckon … surely we have a pretty big fire burning to have a big result at home - after last year, and the Warriors game.

brailey, sasagi, starling, hosking, young, tapine

always a bit depressing looking at that list
You seriously going to count Young, Tapine and Brailey?

Young failed a drug test so got cut (right thing to do)
Tapine has openly admitted he needed to leave the Newy style as he was going down a dark path (always going to leave, not knights fault)
Brailey was on big money and never performed after like 4 hamstring injuries and in the end fans wanted him out (to which raiders fans don’t want him either)

I’ll give you Sasagi, Hosking and Starling, I feel like context gets left out a lot when talking about former Knights players

Tapine was going down the dark path of about $400k a year less money lol.

Brailey was two ACLs and Achilles I think. Sad, it obviously affected his career. But good on him for coming back, but probably stopped him from reaching higher potential.

Raiders will be very very desperate today. If we win it'll take everything we've got. Being 3 wins from 4 im not convinced that we'll be able to maintain the intensity through the middle/backend period of the game as the Raiders absolutely will
Raiders ill discipline is whats killed them early in season. Knights complete at high % and good discipline will go a long way to winning today

Hosking and Starling are the most ones we let go that are most annoying considering Hosking wanted to come back but for AOB and Starling from Nathan Brown not wanting him.

Starling was our best junior from Mats to reserve grade over about 6 years and got 5 minutes of firstgrade as an 18 year old - threw 1 bad pass that ended up costing us a crucial game - and that was it - cut.
