NRL Round 4- Bulldogs Vs Knights - 3:00pm Saturday, 28th March - Accor Stadium

Yeah I agree with the ref. But we defied the odds. I like to see that last try again, where it come off Burtons head it went forward from what I saw.

Happened earlier this round and was binned. They're allowed a quick tap, tackling him prevents that which is a professional foul. Whether the whistle blew or not is another question. Clearly Lucas didn't hear it if it did, but it seemed like he was the only one who reacted that way.

I thought it was very possible but there’s always an element of doubt against a team that has had us over a barrel the last couple of years. That was a very brave effort from a very different Knights team compared to last year.

There was a lot of concern in regards to our forwards and how they’d handle themselves but they are clearly finding something more each week. They absolutely beat the ***t out of the dogs in that first half and just turned the opposition off their game, laying a nice platform for the backs and with without Mooney too! It’s actually exciting to see them gel and pump each other up.

Speaking of backs, was Dom carrying an injury last year or was his confidence just down like everyone else in the squad? He looks so much happier and WAY faster, looked to be wading through mud last year when he’d go to take off.

Also I hope Sharp isn’t in too much trouble with that knee and it was just reactionary to feeling some pain. I think we probably all held our breath for a minute there.

Well done Newcastle!

Watched two different replays several times. No whistle, at least on the replay.

What a great performance from the boys
Without Ponga and Brown we beat a top 4 team from last year who was also unbeaten so far this season
Saf and Saulo to start the game were absolutely outstanding best I’ve seen Saulo play in first grade, didn’t see him come back on tho? So hopefully he is okay
Was worrying when sharpe stayed down injured again however after the game he didn’t look to be limping at all walking over to engage the crowd so maybe okay
Hate to have a downer but man Gagai by far our worst player imo?? Some of his plays are absolutely dumb some week I’m so happy he is leaving at seasons end
Saulo came back on at the very end for JSaf, so no injury worries.

Not so pretty now (is that a Simpsons quote?)

Mooney a slow starter, Saulo was shot out of a cannon today. Wonder if the coach considers starting Saulo in the future. Mooney and Frizz off the bench won't drop off as bad as other combos
He was fantastic. If he doesn’t drop that ball cold in the 1st half he’s my MOTM. His best FG game by miles.

Agree, not sure if it was you or someone else who mentioned the similarities to Leniu. I think next week is the best week to do it, Saulo got his shot and took it with both hands. Now it’s on Mooney to win his starting spot back.
If it was in the form of a long rant it was me.

Anyone else massively proud of the performance today? That was brilliant. 2 of their 3 tries were bonafide flukes. We were so committed and competed in every play. Proud of them.
That is one of our best performances in years! The local kids everyone wanted are standing up kp and d bags now have a team to compete. Lots went against us today and we still won. Complaining is pointless and honestly Tiring it’s footy nothing is ever perfect take a great win move on!
