Jenkins either filthy and petulant or so low on confidence he’s told the coach to look elsewhere. Either way, it’s not something you expect to read!
And hard to read as well.
Any young guy would walk over hot coals for a first grade shot.
OK, he hasn’t worked out this year and that happens some years.
What is a real worry is he doesn’t want to play for the coach. That is a real problem on so many levels, none of them good.
Hope he is getting some support, either way.

the whole thing seems weird. Hope he is OK.

Sharks have lost Kayal Iro with Sifa Talakai returning to the centres - having slightly panicked flashbacks to Talakai and Gags matchup last year.

Mulitalo also returns from injury on that wing.

Royce Hunt is named to start on an edge - would be surprised if that's how they line up at 4pm. Billy Burns is on the bench as their only genuine edge backrower but isn't much chop IMO, either way there's plenty of unfamiliar defensive combinations on their left edge so we could have some joy there.

If we can control the ruck and mark the edges well we can win. It'll be a matter of the boys wanting to work hard for 80 minutes or sulk and get flogged.

what do you mean he doesn't want to play?
He told the coach he wasn’t confident and didn’t want to play this week. He was going to be the centre this week.

It’s a real shame because I still believe Jenkins has potential. I honestly see him transitioning into a Beau Scott like back rower.

Ps heard on the wind he may be released to go to South Sydney if this is the case watch Bennett turn him into a backrower or centre. His got a lot of Beau Scott and Jack reed about his game if he fixes up his defence it’s very much of that mould.
