NRL Round 24 - Knights Vs Titans - 2:00pm Sunday, 16th of August - McDonald Jones Stadium

Would need them both to drop their next 2 games for us to sneak into 4th. Think I’d rather a home semi and then hope we don’t have the warriors in the second week

Not polished. But a win is a win.

14 wins pass AOB's best season.
Finals locked in.
Home semi a real chance with a win next week on Old Boys Day.
I think we can win in the first round and be a handful in the 2nd.

Lots to look forward to with this team.
Nah equal. 23 it was 14-1-9

But regardless excellent season

I noticed on that Fox momentum tracker thingee ... which actually seems very accurate whenever I notice it, I have to say ... our first two tries in the second half were during periods of heavy Titans dominance/momentum.

That will be the thing that really worries other sides in the finals. They can control possession, territory, errors and all that, and we can still score points.

I don't think anyone will be wanting to play us.

Would've liked us to win more convincingly, but I think we have an edge heading into the finals by having players who can make things happen at crucial moments. We don't win that match if Fletcher and KP aren't in the side.

All in all though it was a pretty fun one, we had stiffys, dry humping and loads of points. What's not to love? 😂

Yeh you do but I reckon having a win at home after the bye we’d have a good chance of going on a run. Would also be a miracle if we finish 4th from here

I think the late tries matter big time. It’s about consistency and discipline. Setting standards for next year when we could arguably and rightly be favourites for top 4. Start setting these standards now and don’t give away **** tries versus a **** team. Particularly when it could be out of us and Souths for 6th place. Don’t leave it to chance. But anyway, no injuries (Dane not too serious hopefully) and the 2 points is big.

I reckon they’ll definitely rest Dane next week. Will be interesting to see if hunt moves to the right or if they slot winter straight in. He didn’t look out of place at all

And we can score points from anywhere on the field.

I’m of the firm belief that whatever happens happens and there’s always a reason things happen the way they do. Remember 2023 season when a bashed and bloodied Knights showed up there for the semis and got destroyed? Well I can tell you right now so do Newcastle and they won’t roll over like they did last time. Hopefully NZ continue to see us as a walk over side just making up the numbers.

Now, that had a lot to be excited about today’s game. Yes they went to sleep for a few periods but I don’t think they do that against teams they respect. They need to change that mindset though if they want to be taken seriously.

The Fletchers today were amazing.

I like that we’ve gone from a one to two man strike team to anyone on the park can be dangerous. Makes us a real threat and all the pundits are talking about it now while somehow still flying under the average punters radar.

Well done to Holbrook and company!
