And our metal health not being destroyed from having to watch said poor team. I tried hard not to swear then!
 
I'd much rather have seen us play this weekend and hopefully make up for last week! Would have to be fired up after that.

It's been a pretty slow weekend. Should have played the NRLW game on Saturday or Sunday afternoon to fill in the gap, I'm sure the crowd would have been better too.
 
I think the NRL (well, Ch9) wanted to start the NRLW season with the two-time back-to-back premiers Newcastle vs the golden child Roosters.
 
Ordinarily I'd agree they'd show up v Penrith, fall short and get pumped the following week. But the thing driving the poor form isn't ordinary. There are apparently pretty serious dramas in the dressing room atm.

I'm thinking we'll see an average effort v Penrith and a slippery slope thereafter. And I reckon there will be almost nothing that can stop it while the underlying causes of the discontent persist.
 
Hopefully they’ve managed to sort that stuff out in the week off. 🤞🏼 I’m sure it’s there, it does seem like things have pretty much totally turned to custard.
 
If the sheds is where the problems are things should have been sorted out with some honest debate and as early as possible after Broncos game then a good 10 days plus to work on what was decided and come out firing against Panthers.
We will likely lose but let’s see some changes and effort.
