NRL Round 22 - Knights Vs Broncos - 7:35pm Saturday, 1st of August - Suncorp Stadium

Commentator on nine, saying Canterbury “emerging as a force”. lol. They just beat a severely under strength Melbourne side. Although Kikau makes a massive difference to this side. Without him I don’t think they win.
Yeah agreed. Kikau carried them, they still aren't good. Commentators are really glazing the dogs hard.

Game day!

I’m almost at the point of saying this is a must-win game. We’ve got the Raiders away next week, which I think will be a tougher game than this one. That’s exactly why a win today is so important.

This team has earned my respect over the last month. We’ve gone toe-to-toe with top-four and top-eight sides and lost by a combined total of 7 points. That says everything about the fight and resilience in this group.

Yes, we’ve lost two of our best players, but I still believe we’ve got a squad that can finish the season strongly and make the eight.

The Broncos have been disappointing this year, but they are near full strength and they’re at home. They won’t roll over for us. It’s going to be tough, but it’s absolutely a game we can win.

Not many people are giving us a chance, but that’s been the story all year. Even with a depleted side, we’ve shown we’re a genuine footy team. We’re a million miles from the wooden spooners of 2025. The core of this squad is still there, and the young blokes have brought belief, energy and hunger.

Let’s not just make the 8, but finish strong, earn a home final for the fans.

Let’s go, boys! 💙❤️

Unfortunately they still get the two points no matter how ordinary their victories are. Their season has been rubbish outside that weird win against the Panthers early in the year but now only 1 win behind the Knights.
They are currently on the same points as us Slots.

Crazy isnt it. Since the panthers beat us in anzac round. 4 losses 7 points in total 🤯. each game small moments have been the difference. Theyd be singing a very different tune about us if we were sitting on 34 points. happy for us to be flying under the radar somewhat though. If we can Just get to september we can match it with any team we will face outside penrith i reckon .

I'm wondering how this plays out tonight...do we lose due to goal kicks again, do Broncos out a big scoreline on us, do injuries strike again???

I would love for us to put a score on them and for us to get through injury free.....it would be a shame for us to slide out of the 8 after such an incredible year with everything going against us.
