It’s 4 vs 5! Both us and the Sharks are currently alone on 26 points, so this match is like a play-off for fourth.

It’s the sort of quick turnaround that would have AOB licking his lips at an excuse, so we need to rebound quickly from the Souths match.

The Sharks are coming off a thumping win, but it wasn’t that long ago they were beaten heavily by the Roosters. Are they due to come back down to earth, or will we go 0-2?!
 
I think we can win. Sharks have been very inconsistent, especially after they’ve had a big win. If we can get on the board early I reckon we can run away with it.
 
From here on we need stability in the spine. Keep Sharp at 6 and Smith on the bench. I would even hesitantly put Hunt at fullback if Ponga goes down just to keep our 6 and 7 building familiarity.

On the back of arguably our worst performance of the year, this may be an instance where the short turnaround is a good thing for us. marzhew would have to be in doubt given the timeframe though. Changes for me
Hunt straight in on the left wing, sharpe to 6 . Smith to 18. would like to see crouch be asked to get through the opening 20 and swap with hopwood too, i think theres a real quality prop there in crouch.
 
I hope the 5 day turn around is enough recovery time for KP. Braddy, and hopefully McEwen big ins.

Sharks have another strong forward pack. Mooney really stood tall last game. 60 mins 170 run metres. Say it again great signing for us. I’d be tempted to bring in Jones for one of Hopwood or Crouch this game.

The argument for Hunt over Gags is a legitimate one. I’d stick with Gags atm. If Marzhew not available maybe Gags on the wing, Hunt centre. But we need Marz to play for that extra forward.

I agree with the calls from now on, leave Sharpe at six.
 
I'm not confident about this one at all lol I reckon we're going to get dominated up the middle.

I think we'll be in for a long night unfortunately
 
Sharks will score 40.

Gonna be one of them one sided affairs where it ends up 40-8 or some crap. Brailey will pick us apart around the ruck and we’ll probably make Hynes look like Joey.
 
Reckon we could get flogged TBH. Our wins have been against weaker teams when we haven't been flash.

Need McKewen and Best and a miracle in Safiti returning :(
 
Love the positivity after a lost. We're the worst team in the comp again. I don't get the bipolar reactions week to week.
Im look at the loss as a positive as I think we needed one to bring us back down to earth.
We'll be up for this game. I think i will be tight but we'll get the job done.

I'm more confident in beating the sharks as opposed to Souths, we were never going to get a fair crack on Jai's birthday.

If we stop the sideways rubbish and show a bit of patience we can pile on points. We literally need to stop beating ourselves.
 
Agree, and strangely enough I think that’s not too hard fix that sideways movement. McEwen and Best will do that. I like a Crouch. Maybe he should start. Mooney needs to stay consistent. If we can hold our own in the forwards the backs will do there jobs, I hope. Gags needs to get Dom better ball. I like the tactic they have been doing with Dom in the centres also. It’s just some slightly off execution atm.
