NRL Round 19 - Knights Vs Rabbitohs - 2:00pm Sunday, 12th of July - Accor Stadium

They have some good players in Tallis Duncan, Keon, Gray. But I do think they will miss Cody big time. Murry backing up after origin. Wighton only just back from injury. So yeah I think we rest Ponga and Best. Don’t make the same mistakes we have done in the past. And we are in a strong position now sitting in the top 4.

I’m starting to think we rest Ponga and Best. Just Best with his hammy history. Ponga fresh for the final run home. Not sure though. The side that played yesterday, albeit minus our two starting props is a good side. Sharpe would be first choice FB in a lot of teams. And Sandon is a good half. We have Graham to come on at hooker.

Having these options have suddenly made us a much better side. I think against a Souths without Trell and Cody the side that played yesterday can win that game.
I read Holbrooks comments in the presser as both will be given every chance to play. if both are cleared fit i think we see them both lineup. If sharpes back to 6 i think graham has to be the 14. Both will no doubt be carried on the 6 man.

I'd imagine if Best and Ponga pull fine they will play, Ponga backed up against Parra after game 1 so this will be no different. I don't we are in a position to take any game lightly. 2 to 3 losses and we drop to the bottom of the 8 potentially and risk missing finals. We have some tough games coming up, if we rest on our laurels we risk getting towelled up.

Our F/A is horrendous in a congested top 8. We need to be top 4 and take advantage of the final round bye. Week off before finals. Win first game then another week off before it gets serious.
One game a time I know, but it’s time to start planning. Best team on the park each week.

F/A don’t matter, win and loss do, if you’ve got enough points and finish top 8 your a chance, more so if top 4.
Not likely to get to many big scores for with little against over the rest of season to effect the F&A deciding if we are in or out

Not sure about that. We are 9th on F/A with only 2 wins in it. Pretty sure we should be trying to not only win, but win well. We don’t make the GF without a top four finish no matter how many players we have on deck for the finals. Particularly if we don’t get there.

Well to be fair Frank isn’t wrong about wins matters more

You can have a billion F/A but if you have more wins than that team you’ll still finish above them regardless. Wins are more important than for and against.

Not saying I wouldn’t like a few 30+ point wins but as long as we have more wins than the others it won’t even come into calculation.

Fact of the matter is that we probably won't streak away and finish a comfortable 2nd, and in a situation like that a much larger PD is almost like an extra win. Theres a good chance we could be involved in a dogfight where PD could be the difference between finishing 4th or 5th or even 6th or 7th.
