NRL Round 17 - Knights Vs Tigers - 4:05pm Sunday, 28th of June - McDonald Jones Stadium

Let's hope that the audio guy at the stadium realised that the pre-recorded "New-ca-stle" chant had the opposite effect and they put it in the bin. I recall them trying it in the early 2010's and it was as terrible then as it was yesterday. We don't need it!!
Those pre-recorded chants are always so lame, at any sporting event.

At the ground and because of that stupid fake Newcastle chant it killed any natural chant. I think there was maybe only 2 the entire match. The rest of the time was this fake rubbish they try and force on people.

They tried it not too far back as well. Hopefully get flooded with complaints about it.

As for the game, I thought we were on top most of the game as I thought we handled WT defensively well. But, just couldn't get our act together in attack. We bombed a bunch of tries and should have won that by 20.

Yes. It sucked. I cringed every time I heard it.

The Newcastle chant is too fast nowadays it’s a pet hate of mine. Needs to be 3 long syllables New Cas Tle. Yeah I don’t have much of a life do I?

That crowd was non existent through the TV and I did catch that recorded chant. The crowd was NOT interested 😆

Brenton Speed did the game on 9.
And how good does an independent caller, with no club affiliations and obvious bias/bigotry sound when calling the game?
A real pleasure to hear and make the audience feel part of the great game of rugby league.
These callers tend to just call the game and don’t provide the manure, and never stop talking because they love the sound of their own voice, or suffer profoundly from little man syndrome.
These guys make the mute button standard operational practice.
