Love Dom but not sure you want him defending in the centres. Switching him infield in attack occasionally is a good call though worked well

I think we still desperately need a couple of middle forwards, two wrecking balls preferably or just anyone who is capable of running hard and straight, to scatter defenders and create some ruck speed

Two days to make a move, be surprised if we do and/or if anyone is willing to deal on a player(s) who fit the bill, but it would be great to pull off a surprise move.

Some shocking passes and execution that game. Hopefully things click for us soon. We have become that team that attacks from anywhere but it can also lead to a lot of errors. Defence was solid.

They’ve just gotten very pass happy and the secret is out that we are hunting the 4 man open side inside our own 50 a lot.
That means though that if the defence isn’t compressing as much as it would against most teams we should be able to find joy going to those changes of angle through the middle.
Looked like the penny dropped in the last 30 mins.
This was Storm footy 101 when Katoa was still playing, because they were always a threat to challenge edges at lightning speed, about 120 of Katoa’s 150 metres per game came because of how easily they could isolate him on halves due to no one being game to really compress on them in D in yardage (except Penrith because they always back their scramble). Then you had Harry Grant and Jahrome Hughes punishing that spread defence with their running games. Pick your poison. If you couldn’t smash their middles you couldn’t beat them.
We have the capability to execute a similar game model but need to get a better feel for when to play straighter.

61 tackles from Crossland, and a 40/20 . Awesome performance.
Hopwood ran hard, tackles hard, and has a good offload. More fitness in the off season and maybe 3-4 kg of muscle, and he will be a regular first grader next year.

You're right but he's been pretty poor the past few weeks. Needs to earn his spot
