NRL Round 16 - Knights Vs Dragons - 8:00pm Friday, 19th of June - McDonald Jones Stadium

I'm looking forward to seeing him play under the new regime. He obviously impressed Holbrook over the preseason but has really had a chance under him yet. He's a smart guy and can run a good line, we might be making Croker type comparisons after the game.
Same,
Plus he played better at hooker than expected last week.

Interesting if Smith is not quite right. If KP doesn’t play, which more than likely won’t then I would think Sharpe goes to the back and Smith 6. Otherwise Smith stays in the reserve and Graham plays 14. Hunt goes in at FB.

So with Smith in for Ponga and Manu in for Lucas and Saulo out for 8 weeks that means our 6 man bench is Graham, Friz, Hopwood, Hunt, Gamble and Schiller only 2 forwards
I would assume knights will apply for a special grant to allow one of the Cup forwards to come in for Schiller
Crouch or Elijah would be my guess maybe Jones

Jones will have had to have trained the house down to get a game now.
His second game of cup was much better than his first, but still way short of full fitness.
He might have got stuck into the training while everyone else had a week off, given he's had plenty of time off this year, but he'll have to have really impressed at training this week.
Crouch has been the form forward in cup for at least a month.
Having said that, ESL is the safe bet. He has done the job in firstgrade a few times and is fully fit and ready to go.

With those out I expect a dragons win, they also have a great record at our home.
Considering we haven't won a game without Lucas since 2024, and we're without both starting edge backrowers AND we're without Ponga..

The Dragons are a big chance. And unless we fight hard for 80 mins and execute well we're almost relying on them not to play well in order to beat them

He’s made 22 tackles. Run a **** load of decoys. Need to give him some ball though
I'm surprised he's only made 22 tackles. He was in everything defensively, would be nice if Cleary could reward him with a few nice runs 2nd half. He's been there to cover for Cleary's 6 missed tackles so far.
