NRL Round 14 - Knights Vs Sea Eagles - 7:50pm Thursday 5th June - McDonald Jones Stadium

Jeckyl and Hyde performance.

1st half was modern Knights, 2nd half was 11 in a row Knights.

This is what we talk about when we say we have attacking focussed players, Ponga, Sharpe, Best, Marz, gags, Lucas, even kpp, now Hunt. Yet we strangle them in to boring AOB percentage grinding ********.

This is what we mean by we don't have the forward pack to beat them up the middle, so try something else, try this. Ball movement, quick play the balls etc.
 
I was very happy with the work and effort from Croker and Brody the xfactor Jones, thought they were fantastic playing longer minutes and having to do a lot more of the dirty work
Crossland defensive efforts always good but the one who really surprised me was Brailey!! 😱 he was fantastic and didn't try to step both sides of the ruck before making a decision.
We are still making waaaay to many errors though
 
Take out the errors, penalties and missed tackles which mostly happened in the first half when he was playing in the centres Schiller had a spectacular game stats-wise. It was a weird game.

The key thing was the second Lucas won us pretty much our first really really quick play the ball in a yardage set, they hit the go button immediately. Moved it quick to the other side where the players who are dynamic with time and space are. And what do you know?

We can’t just keep punching it up the middle after getting initial ruck speed and try to grind the opposition out of the game like we have. Can’t wait till we pass halfway to attack because it’s rarely going to happen and our red zone attack is ****house anyway. Always look more dangerous using the full field.

It’s been so stupid from AOB. Our best assets atm are out wide. Hopefully the penny drops because you can see that a lot of these blokes *do* know how to play…
 
That 2nd half was brilliant. Crazy what a bit of 2nd phase does for you. That right edge was lethal and I’ll give Cogger credit for unlocking it, just giving KPP and Gags early ball.

On Gagai can we do a whip around? I’ll pay some of his salary next year.

The Fletcher’s really stood up inspite of their rank names/haircuts and Marz showed just how good he can be.

To be without our 3 best middles and losing Friz early that has to go down as one our gutsiest wins ever.

Really looking forward to them totally disappointing me next week.

If he wants to save his job, he will have to change his game plan.

Everyone else can see that, he shouldn’t be a coach if he can’t. His game plan makes no sense for the players they have

Is it ego or stupidity because I’m not sure which is worse?
