NRL Round 11 - Knights Vs Titans - 2:00pm Sunday, 17th of May - Suncorp Stadium - MAGIC ROUND!!!

I must have watched a different game.
I had Croker or Brown as best on field. Sharpe was in and out of the game but scored a couple of tries and is the flavour of the month so you can see why he is on the list. Lucas, and the wingers deserve praise, but Crossland always gets forgotten. Assume he topped the tackle count for the game again.
Brown definitely stuck out for me … calm head in attack, which was needed, because I don’t think Smith was quite on song. And he seemed to be literally everywhere putting out fires in defence all game.

Just me or was Brown refusing to dig into the line with the ball? Same for Smith too tbh, at least until the final stages of the game.

I thought it was the reason we struggled offensively in the first half. Anyone notice the same?

Holbrook was saying in the presser that they had a lot of disruptions in the week with guys that could train and guys that couldn't train - which sounds like food poisoning or flu or something went through the group - or maybe they are just all managing little injuries and need a week off about now.

Kp was visably ill coming off at half time! I think there was gastro or something! Just a guess tho

Brown had 157 running metres not quit sure what your seeing
Brown made plenty of carries. And had an absolute blinder defensively. I'm not having a go at him.

But I did notice that he consistently failed to engage the D line when running shape. If he is carrying a soft tissue injury on his side or his back (the part of his body exposed to first impact when digging into the line) it'd make sense why he was leaving an extra metre/ half-metre before contact.

They played the whole game like they were just trying to get through it, relative to the last few weeks, and still played footy so enterprising it'd make AOB sick lmao.
Yep that’s what it looked like to me. They just wanted to get it over and done with without any damage done. A lot of them are probably hanging for the Bye and the others Origin, so it’s not surprising.

Not something they’ll want to get in the habit of but they got away with it here, mostly due to the fact that the Titans are very poor in attack (very weird thing to say)

I thought they (titans) had a fair dig but were probably forced a few things too much when it was in the arm wrestle stage and lacked patient. Then in the second half when we found gaps and created mismatches we took them and it led to tries.
It’s good to have those sorts of games at times

Just find it weird that they’re seemingly struggling to score points when that’s never been an issue for them at all. Clearly they’ve been working on their defence but it’s come at the expense of the attack seemingly

They may have been trying to protect themselves, the turf on magic round is dangerous for injuries after so many games being played on the weekend. Winning a little bit more conservatively is not a negative thing in this situation.

AOBs gameplans were just too technical and too complex for us peasant fans to comprehend, including the players.
Why score more points then you have to??
I wouldn’t say one out hit ups, not contesting bombs, and hoping KP somehow scores all our points , were too technical to comprehend.

Hannay said they didn’t do much work on the attack in the off-season
