NRL Round 10 - Knights Vs Dragons - 3:00pm Saturday, 9th of May - WIN Stadium

Yeah not sure why Holbrook didn’t use Smith.
Defence.

Although, defence aside, Sharpe had a good game at 6, did his job, but he must be struggling in some way. He registered zero tackle breaks for the first time ever in FG. If we needed points in the last 10-15 mins I'd be bringing Smith on for Sharpe.

I wonder how long it'll be before we see Sharpe at 100%

Probably a lot of moving parts to re-introduce in one week if you’re also bedding in a new bench hooker. If it’s Phoenix the ball is going to be coming out of DH the same way every time. From memory Graham was an unused sub for a game before we unleashed him.

Where we at on hopwood? Not the first time ive thought the game looked a little quick for him. Id look to give him some extended game time v dragons depending on how we are going and then ld spell him in cup again for abit

Think Smith is a good half back, a 7 really but his tackling deficiency makes him an unlikely 9 or bench relief 9 so if Brown and Sharpe are our 7 & 6 then Graham is the better option for bench and could play half or hooker along with Crossland. I prefer giving Crossland and Croker a bit of time off with Graham providing relief.

Still not convinced Saulo does enough, tackles well, but lacks in attack. fails to break the line, rather see Hola or Crouch, both strong in Cup not just try scoring. Along with Frizell looks a stronger bench alongside the likes of Hopwood, Manuleleau, ESL etc

Looking at Crouch's stats, he only started playing cup last year, when he was too old for Flegg (11 games for Newtown and now 15 for the Knights, and his best games have been his last 3 by a long way.
Today's game was easily his best in fact.
Holbrook seems to notice good games in reserves and you often see the best performer in reserves in the 22 man squad for firsts the next week.

It's easier to defend in the middle then on the edge it's just you need to make more tackles

He does a lot of the unseen stuff in d feel like he needs to add a few more kgs to stop him getting dominated so much . And just with crouch is it just me or does him seem a bit slow with his runs his work rate is great but that's my only criticism of him just with how the game going
