This is a thread dedicated to the possible expansion of the NRL. Talk about anything to do with the expansion, the teams, possible players, absolutely anything. Please post any players linked to expansion clubs.

The following teams have bids placed for the next NRL expansion:

Brisbane Bombers

Location: Brisbane, Queensland

Home Ground: Lang Park (52,500)

Colours: Navy, Orange, Maroon

Jersey Manufacturer: Canterbury

Possible Players: Cooper Cronk (Melbourne Storm), Karmichael Hunt (Gold Coast Suns, AFL), David Shillington (Canberra Raiders, has clause to leave club for Bombers), Quade Cooper (Queensland Reds, Rugby Union)

Possible Coaching Staff: Wayne Bennett (Newcastle Knights), Ivan Henjak (Free Agent), Mal Meninga (Queensland, State of Origin)

Central Queensland havent picked a name, no bids from NZ have been brought forward and the Ipswich bid is the Western Corridor not the Ipswich Jets, they also havent picked a name or colours and have stated they wont be the jets.

You also forgot the 2 perth bids.

Novo's right, the NZ bid hasn't been formalised ... and there's been more talk of it being based in Wellington, than earthquake ravaged Christchurch (particularly in a stadium that's not open anymore, and down for demolishment due to earthquake damage, I believe).
