Well I’m just south of Bundaberg and it was nearly 30 in the shade here today. I’d hate to think what another 11.5 hrs North feels like let alone play in it so I’d say heat and humidity is a fair assessment. The guys will have their work cut out so they will just have to do some serious homework and maybe do all their training this week in a sauna 🧖‍♂️ 😱

Looking at the weather forecast atm and it’s going to be 74% humidity in Townsville at kick off 😮

Pretty sure that was the one time in 2004 we were full strength … it lasted one half and we lead 48-0 at halftime. 😂
I remember they beat the 2003 defending premiers Panthers in the first round (can't remember the score off the top of my head) and followed it up with a road win against the Storm 36-26 before Joey went down in the first half during the Eels game.
I remember having a glimmer of hope when Kurt Gidley kicked a winning field goal in Golden Point against the Broncos to win 17-16 and the season went downhill from there.

Leave the same team. Unless KPP takes friz spot. Seems to be getting knocked around a bit ol friz. Also ponga has to stay away from the "main" playmaking. I watched him close yesterday from the stands. Some of his passing was just stupid, he really had not a clue what he was doing running back on himself, yeah it created a try but C'mon I'd rather him chiming in rather then being the bell. He was buggered getting back to do the defensive line stuff. Happy with most of the others. Dsaf still lazy defensively sometimes.
Wonder how much the regular 4th tackle hit up into forwards is affecting his game too?

It is such an absolute waste of his effort and potential risk of a forward taking the opportunity to try and put a cheap shot on one of our key players….it just makes absolutely no sense to me whatsoever in the risk vs reward equation?!

Yeah I'd reckon a fair bit. Like for me if it's the 4th tackle and if your just taking a standard hit up you haven't done enough with the ball, you should never be "setting up" for a 5th tackle option, that's a play that happens every set, you've just gotta choose whether to run, Loft it, bomb it or kick to a corner. I'd send him on a tackle 3 play to create something but never 4 unless he is pulling the trigger on something. Just my opinion though.

The way I see it Cowboys beating Dogs Rd 27 is just like Dolphins beating Broncos Rd 26. What happened to Dolphins the next week Knights defeated Them. Also Round 20 game against Dogs was alot closer so The Cowboys got lucky They didn't have to face Round 20 version of the Dogs last week.

NEWS!!

Don’t buy into no media ******** and mind games with best. Bradman will not play 100% confirmed…
Thanks @Junior_rep for the insight… That is a loss for us no doubt and it does hurt but at least we have a ready made replacement, with plenty of experience this year in that role that can slot into known systems and defensive patterns.

Also happy that Brodie has shown his value this season as a player that is first grade standard and won’t be out of place in the starting line up, if that is how it plays out.

Best is elite and not replaceable but I think we can still control our own destiny with the squad we will put on the paddock and get a job done, if everybody steps up and plays to their best

Yeah Best has been playing busted. Lucas can definitely do the job he’s done the last 2 weeks.
