I did this to my ankle a few years ago playing basketball. Maybe I did it worse than Johns, but good god, if he can play with that sort of pain then he's some sort of freak!
Johns keen to face Storm

KNIGHTS skipper Andrew Johns has a partial ligament tear in his left ankle but is determined to give himself every chance of playing against Melbourne on Saturday.
There's also little doubt he will be ready for the Anzac Test against the Kiwis on May 5. The Australia team is named on Sunday week and Johns will be picked even if he does not play again before then.
However, he has his sights on playing this weekend.
"He wants to play and thinks he's a chance but it will depend on how quickly it improves," Newcastle club specialist Neil Halpin said.
"He has partially torn the lateral ligament in his left ankle but it will come good with physiotherapy and anti-inflammatories. He was in a fair bit of pain with it overnight, which was actually a good sign.
"If it had fully torn off the bone, there would have been virtually no pain there at all."
Johns suffered the injury midway through the first half of Sunday's loss to North Queensland.
He battled on after half-time with the ankle heavily strapped and it was initially thought he could be sidelined for a fortnight.
Youngster Jarrod Mullen will be on standby for the Storm clash in Melbourne should Johns not recover in time, while Kirk Reynoldson will be out for four weeks with a calf injury.

Johns gets an Anzac boost
April 17, 2006 - 7:16PM
Andrew Johns' bid to make his representative farewell in next month's Anzac Test remains on track after the Newcastle maestro received a positive prognosis on his injured ankle today.
Johns tore part of the lateral ligament in his ankle midway through the first half of yesterday's 18-16 loss to North Queensland, but battled on bravely to see out the match.
Knights doctor Neil Halpin today said Johns would have no problem being fit for the May 5 Test against New Zealand at Suncorp Stadium, and would not even rule the champion No.7 out of Saturday night's trip to Melbourne to take on the Storm.
"Joey hasn't ruled himself out of the Melbourne game yet, he's shown over many years that he'll play with just about anything," Halpin said.
"We'll see how he pulls up towards the end of the week. I've made too many premature judgments about Andrew in the past, about whether he'd be right or not.
"It doesn't look too bad, but it's swollen up a lot today and it's still quite sore.
"He should be right for (the Test), I don't see any reason why he wouldn't be okay for that."
Halpin was stunned that Johns was able to withstand the pain enough to play on against the Cowboys, but rejected claims that he did further damage to the ankle by staying on the field.
The Knights medico said there was little chance Johns could do anything to worsen the injury by playing against the Storm.
"It's a matter of whether he can put up with the pain more than anything," Halpin said.
"If there was any chance he could do more damage we'd have to advise him not to play."
