Nathan Ross

Might just be a coincidence, but the timing of this Gagai rumour makes me think either us or the Titans have brought up the possibility of a Gagai for Bird player swap.

I actually don't think gagai is all that great. Every time I watch him run the ball up I pray he don't drop it.

I'm more concerned he never passes the bloody thing. Runs straight into the opposition while guys left and/or right of him are screaming for the ball. Starting to look a bit like Uate - not good.

If thats the case... i want Ryan James also.
Bird aint worth 550k plus.
450k is about it imo,
James about 400k and forget Lewis

Gagai is our best player.
Has anyone else played in a social team or any sort of team where you're the only one who has any idea on how to play? I feel as if Gagai hodko and Levi are in that situation with maybe one or two others

Yeah I think Gagai is one of our best players. Believe it or not, being in a bad team affects a player's performance. He's a talented player & in a good team he would show it better. In saying that, I do believe he could be getting more involved for us, Origin proved that to me, but as someone said, he's probably lost a bit of interest like many players would after constantly losing. He doesn't deserve the amount we pay him whether he's in for or not, but if we trade him for Bird I can only shake my head.

Article in the Herald says Ross has an offer from a Sydney club and 3 ESL clubs, but the Knights have a 1 year option for next season and are keen to keep him.

Not sure it would be fair on him to keep a 27 year old on low pay for another year if he can get big money elsewhere. If he were 19 and had another 10 years to earn it would be fair, but Ross has one or maybe 2 good contracts in him at 28 next year.

Its a business, if we want him he should be made stay. We took the gamble on him and we should get to reap the benefits of it, if only for another year

If we've got an option for him for next year then the fair thing to do would be extend it by a year and upgrade it, now he's a permanent first grader - otherwise let him go.

decisions like that are the reason we are in this mess. Let him play his guts out again next yr then talk about upgrades/extensions.

I'm not saying throw half a mil at him! But at the moment he wouldn't be getting a first grader's salary, so it's a bit unfair on him. We've done the same with the Saifitis and Levi when they've become first grade regulars.

By memory Ross is only on 120k, atm he is our best back on form... his personality should bag him some TPA if the knights a clever enough to upgrade him to say 200k with a 80k tpa from somewhere.

And for that money 88 I agree he has been our best back all year and we must retain him. Give him some of Tariq's money as he is our new MAD DAWG!!

This agreeing with you is severely damaging my clean cut, senior image bucko!!!!
