Myles signs with Titans

How reliable is that source though? or is it just inside info?

Because there is nothing on the nrl.com website, nothing on the titans website, and nothing on the titans forum.

And on the Titans forum it says he has an option for 2013?

yeah you would think that there would be something on the titans website about the signing of one of their best players.
foxsports news, telegraph, zero tackle,nrl.com even.........but NOTHING!!! (not to say its not true)

1. We are not all saying that, and 2. The Titans have already signed Douglas and Idris on big contracts, and are still looking at guys like Champion, Myles, and still in talks with Bird I believe. While they are really only loosing Nathan Friend who wouldnt be on massive money.

There were also the salary cap rumblings last season about the Scott Prince, and the 'house' which puts doubt into peoples minds, "where there is smoke, there is fire".

But i do agree, some people are getting carried away with all their dream scenerios

Id say we will only get Snowden and Boyd. Maybe only one of them. Plus a handful of fringies like Jon Green, Nick Emmett, and a few others not from the dragons.

I think the fact the Boyd and Snowden things have gone a bit quiet is a good sign, as we obviously dont have all the things in place as yet on the recruitment/retention side of things, evident by the hold ups with DeGois and Sau. Gidleys contract would have been less complicated as he is a marquee players, long serving player, and they always knew Wayne wanted him.

But your right, no one will ever accuse their own team of rorting the cap  even if we signed half the Australian team, and a few Wallabies.

I really wouldnt be surprised if we came under some sort of investigation if we bought ALL those guys...it just seems like its ok if we do it,but not anyone else...
I dunno I am just seeing that with all this money that tinkler will bring to the club we seem to be getting greedy and thinking that we can buy everything...we all still have the same rules.....
but I know its just a lot of us having pipe dreams...and yeah I would like to have all those guys plus a few others.BUT its just not going to happen legally...

yeah ur dead right there mick id be very happy with snowden boyd would be a bonus and thats all we need i think with bennett coaching wed be laughing

Depends on the price tag but I'm a fan of Myles. Solid, tough, representative player.

Snowden should be the number one priority, but if that falls through then Myles would be a great fall back option.

i would much rather a geniune centre sign with us than boyd .. thats the only place i can see him playing if he signs.. would take myles but like bennett said before he doesnt like paying huge amounts for forwards so if myles is shopping himself around we probly arnt gunna get him IMO

Don't forget Simon Williams. Him, Likiliki & Smith (despite truely being a half) are our best centres coming through atm, although that doesn't mean they'll stand up to FG. I would much rather we sign a solid quality centre with our money.

Well thats very interesting. Seems like Bennett really wants him.
Surely if we get Myles Boyd will be out of the question

So if we get Myles.

8. Snowden
9. De Gois
10. Costigan
11. Houston
12. Taia
13. Myles

One of the best starting packs out there imo.

The only one that comes close would be Souths and StGI IMO. Canberra and Cronulla lack a quality hooker. We should have that in DeGois.

When DeGois is the lowest profile player in your forward pack, with the rest playing SOO or higher (18th man for Housten, so close enough), its mouth watering to say the least.

Personally, I'd prefer Myles + Gidley + DeGois, then Gidley + Boyd. In Myles we have another potential metre eating prop/lock. When he plays for 60min+ he generally goes for 120m+. We need to take the pressure of Uate & Co, so we can use them at the right time, to provide maximum impact. This season Uate is doing too much work in the middle, to be used as a strike weapon that he should be.

Add Hilder, Patto, Tui, Fa'aso on the bench, and thats the making of a quality side. Just need to sure up the centres.

Well Cronulla have a severely blunted pack anyway...they juts lost two gun props.

Over $450k a season? That is massive overs.
Myles is a very good player but we don't really need another backrower especially on that type of coin, how many players will we have to let go?

In Wayne we trust.

I dont think we would be paying that much personally.
