Men’s State of Origin Game 2 2026 - The Blues Vs The Maroons - 8:05pm Wednesday 17th June - MCG

Has been proven to clearly be NSWs best half.
When given control of the team at 7, he has performed at a level Cleary can't seem to access.

It took QLD playing with 12 men for Cleary to 'stamp his mark on a game'. And let's be honest, the Blues still looked like **** even against 12 men. We scored as many tries as they did against 13 men. He's also held the jersey uncontested for like 8 years and across his 18 or so games at 7 is yet to do what Moses did with his almost singular opportunity at halfback in the 2024 series.

Cleary is a freak but not the kind that can dominate when the opponent takes away from you advantages of a superior system.

One had the privilege of playing in a perfect system while the other had to do it the hard way.

It means one had to train for every game plan and knows how to tweak things and the other can only function at the highest level if the same system is applied.

It’s why Nathan Cleary is the best club halfback in the world but I wouldn’t put him top 3 complete footballers considering once you take him out of Penrith he drops a lot.

NSW squad has been announced but not named 1-19 yet, but the Telegraph is now reporting Lucas will be in the starting side.

Im okay with the backs, McClean has earned a shot.

But surely that 14-17 isn't what runs out lol, give either Radley or Murray but not both.

Whilst stoke for Dyl, don’t know why he has Haumole as 20th man when AFB has done sweet f**k all for almost 2 years now, and has afb,Murray and Radley all on bench.
Yeo to 10, Murray start and Barnett, radley and Haumole as bench with AFB peeling oranges
If Laurie does another Laurie and we lost this series from 1 up again burn his clipboard so he can’t ever coach again

Hamaule 20th man while both AFB and Barney still in the 19...so much for picking in position and in form. QLD will spew if another Ponga-type incident costs them this series, but if it keeps Loz coach, I'm sure they'll see the brighter side.

PS. But stoked for Dylan, and will only help him develop his game so great news for the Knights.
