Gutted for Best he misses out on the NSW jersey if Mitchell is out.
Dunno what Queensland are thinking if they play Ponga at 7 … but will be interesting to see how he goes. I think he’s maybe a bit better equipped to handle the halves than he was last time he played there for us. He’s added a few things like a kicking game, and a much better passing game, plus better game awareness, I think.

This is what worries me about guys like Munster and Grant, they aim up too. Munster was as close to 10/10 as you can get in origin last year in G3 as frustrating as it is to watch.
If Ponga starts I’m hoping for NSWs sake he’s kicking goals too.

I thought form is a good yardstick for picking Irigin teams.
Edwards hasn’t done anything wrong and should be the fullback.
And given some of the points allocated for the Dally M awards over this and previous years, how reliable is this yardstick?
