Gotta say with 2 mill in the bank id split it and give it to Klem and Kapou and if I had to use Ross's money next season to back end it so we could have enough for a couple of young guys to make up the numbers I would …
Im not sure how it works but if that's possible those two would win us games all the time with Ese,ese and Daniel to back them up .
Our forwards would not stop going forward and our backs would then tear teams apart , im salivating at the thought of those 2 in our team .
I would forsake everything else and find a way to get both here .

We wouldn't still have 2 mil. We have signed gavet woolfort lino hunt and possibly mann. That takes out a big chunk of that money.

I think we've done a good job in the 'big, bad front rower' category as you've noted many a time. With Des at Manly something will have to give with Taupau as they fell out when he was at the Dogs.

Roosters for 2020 can't get both Pangai and Taupau, but knowing them they probably will smh

Haha now your just being nasty lol. Just shoot me instead that's preferable to being anything but a Knights supporter and even more so with the Storm and Bronco's .

Yes your right mate if we get Klemmer we have done very well in the recruitment department in fact even if we don't get Klem we have still done well although we would still need 1 big body (Taupau maybe ) and the best thing about it is Brown has done very well with the cap too .

There has been so much talk about Taupau being unhappy and Des going back I don't think he will be at manly next season .

Im just being greedy I know but just imagine having Klemmer , Taupau , Daniel , Gavet , Glasby and Jacob , that would be scary and just me but I would have Ese,ese at lock I think he likes playing there and imo he plays well there .
It always seems to me that the Roosters can afford anyone they want .

If we got Taupau and Klemmer it would open up a championship window where we could win the title, with a forward pack of Klemmer, Taupau, twin towers Jacob, Daniel, Glasby, EseEse Gavet and a decent backline we would look great for top4 finish with a real shot.

Surely with the West Group having some TPA connections we could afford both Klemmer and Taupau on $850-$900 on cap plus topped up with TPA to keep them happy ($1.8M - reported $2.2M in cap space) dropping Ross $350k leaving $750k for the likes of gavet Woolford lino hunt which are already signed?

They should be able to move the players around to make it happen, just saying!!!!!!

If we got Klemmer and Tapau, on top of Ponga and Pearce, I'd expect us to be a shot of winning it.

Apparently Taupau to us is no chance according to Toohey. Would be good, but also not disappointed. Klemmer is still a massive coup.

Never was going to be big men wise I am satisfied with Klemmer, Safiti's, Ese, Glasby, Gavat and Psaulo.

Must say it feels good knowing we now have a good chance of signing these type players and having the money to do so. And seeing clubs like the Dogs and Manly struggling like we used to :)
I agree we what must are saying if we sign Klemmer and Taupau I think top 4, heres to wishful thinking.
I like the fact that Knights are being patient with signings now and not panic. If we get Klemmer that's 2 stars in off season (Pearce last year) just waiting for that opportunity, nrl is a crazy world with contracts and player movement anything can happen. Always best to have that extra salary for unexpected star signings

We had to have money for 1 more signing so you'd assume we have atleast $250k, on top of getting Hunt instead of Jennings that should have saved us $300-$400k, conservatively I'd say after Klemmer we should have a minimum of $500k ready to go if someone comes up as well.

With Klemmer signed now $4.3m 5yrs deal we should look at Taupau as well maybe a 2yr $1.6m deal or offer Shaun Johnson or Wade Graham a deal?

I believe we still have $$$ in our cap and we are waiting to make our next move (2020 slow build) but surely after the last few years of pain we should go all out in 2019 and have a run at winning the comp and one of the above players would turn our knights into instant contenders!!

All 3 would be great but they’d all take too much cap space for spots we don’t need to fill at this stage. I’d rather the club saves the cash and use it to upgrade Ponga, Ramien and anyone else who earns it. It will also give us more room to lock down our juniors who are very promising IMO.

Next year, we’ll have some players off contract like Buhrer and King (I think), who might be moved on if they don’t perform, freeing up more space.

We definitely don’t have that sort of cash or room in our top 30. We have plenty of props and forwards now too either Sione, Barnett or Gavet will probably miss out on the final 17. We have a lot of young players too they will need top ups as they come off contract over the next few years so if we have extra cash after completing our squad this year front load some players.
