Kurt Gidley is nuring a rib injury but should still play for NSW
Let's hope its not bad and he doesn't hurt it anymore in the game, we can't afford Gidley getting injurd aswell as Mullen
 
Exactly, I hope he does play for NSW, but if he hurts himself more and is ruled out for an extended period, well, we may as well kiss our chances goodbye...

It'd be great to have uate at fullback as a replacement...he doesnt make enough breaks on the wing...with his pace at fullback he surely find space or run straight back and hurt someone
 
It would be cool, but he can't defend as well as other fullbacks. They'd have McDonnell in, he actually plays fullback.
 
I actually wouldn't mind seeing Aku at fullback, perhaps he'd find it easier to defend out of the line.

However considering my heart is in my mouth every time he attempts to clean up a bomb or grubber kick, I'm sure he'd struggle even more at fullback.
 
agree with lynchyknight if we lose gids due to an injury in origin,there might go the season but again, mcdonnell proved himself last weekend and have wes as well
 
I've been hearing whispers that Ben Hornby is being brought into the squad along with House. I think Gids may be in worse shape than I initially thought.

Only whispers though...nothing legit.

Luke Patten is already in the squad as cover.
 
I would hate to see Uate at fullback, bad under high kicks, bad at defence, would return the ball cross field too much.
 
Not to mention his defence sometimes is a worry.

Uate in the air has been quite good this season.

However, he has dropped the odd ball 10m out on a few occasions, trying to do things way too fast.

To be honest, Despite his terrible defence and ****ness under the high ball when under pressure. Him in the open field is a wonderful sight and if he is having a good game oh boy the other team will ****ing know it!
 
This is not good news gor Gidley or the Knights, If he does not play against Manly i think we will get flogged, hopefully he can get lots of rest and play his normal game come game time

His defending is far better at fullback then on the wing, At FB i think is where he has played his best footy, Last year against Newtown i think, He played there played Great.

Give him a chance.
