Kurt Capewell

If we sign him, Capewell, so as to not miss out, same with any player then new coach can look at roster and decide then or not to take it on. Is ridiculous but what if new coach says I’d take the job but not with Ponga, Pearce and Klemmer. They take it with what we have and adjust want and needs over the ensuing seasons.
I would hope that the new coach will have 5-6 vacancies and a bit of cap space so that he can retain those on contract, let some go that want to and still buy to improve his squad and 5-6 new players in critical positions is all we need for top 4 spot.
I do not want wholesale sackings and rebuild, we have done that.

New coach might not even want him

Mullo, I am not suggesting we should get Capewell or not , but the incoming Coach must be aware that he roster he is getting has been selected with purpose and will his coaching ability will decide whether the team will be formidable or not without whole sale changes - now that is the challenge.

Teams are forged not bought ( we have done that bit ).

I reckon they're equal. Both teams have been bad for the careers of many star players. I think the Titans just pay for them when they are up and coming like Idris, Taylor x2, etc while the Warriors throw the chequebook at more established guys who end up being disappointing like Foran, Luke, Blair, Hoffman etc.

We missed a bit of a gun there

If Uncle Phil (Gardner) didn’t toss out Jazzy Jeff aka Nathan Brown out of the club in 2019 when we were linked to Capewell then the latter would’ve been with us.
