Watching this guy tonight he looks like a pretty good player.
I'd be happy if we signed him on a reasonable deal.

Can’t believe we can sign Capewell but lose Ese’ese.

Last couple of games NSW Cup games I've watched I've been really impressed with Momoisea & Alifia. I think the club thinks along with Saulo King And Jacob we have enough props to cover.

They let Stone go and probably Guerra. It doesnt look like they will resign Buhrer or Slade. Fermor has been injured a lot and Brodie Jones hasn't been great until the last few weeks.
I assume they are after a 2nd rower for those reasons and are counting on getting him cheaper than Ese and Guerra?

Cooper Jenkins is a pretty impressive second row who made the Aust Schoolboys squad this week. In under 16s he made the NSW squad as a centre, but over the last few years he's grown a lot and has made NSW and Aus squads as a tall, rangy second row. Our under 20s squad is so strong this year that Jenkins hasn't made his under 20s debut yet, but he has been playing firstgrade for Maitland in the real NRL since the Ball season ended.
Harry Croker was in the Aus schoolboys team that toured the UK at the end of last season, but Harry has been injured a lot this year. He was in and out of the Ball team and hasn't made under 20s yet. Last year he represented NSW under 18s and Aus schoolboys a year young, but no rep teams this year, probably because of injury.
Ben Talty is the only under 20s forward in reserve grade this week. He is a bit of a late developer who reminds me a lot of Fitz. Tall, hard running, try scoring second row, but his ball security is as bad as Fitz's used to be too.
Jenkins and Croker will be 18/19 next year and are worth a firstgrade off season if we have room for them.
Talty will be 20/21 next year and is worth looking at for a part time spot next year.

We also have that Nesta Watene kid, who some were saying was a Ponga like signing when we got him last year. He was playing under 20s a year young in Qld last year and was MOTM in their final I think.
He must be having injury problems because he is in and out of our under 20s and isn't setting the world on fire, but he's an impressive looking young player. Ironically, he looks like a younger version of Eseese.

Now that Ramien is looking to move, likely to the Sharks, what chance they do a swap for capewell?

Capewell is off contract. So no need for a swap.

    SHARKS FIGHTING TO KEEP CAPEWELL

As NRL Scout wrote last week, Cronulla is keen on re-signing forward Kurt Capewell.

Capewell is off contract and has received interest from at least two rival clubs, one being Newcastle.

Sharks coach John Morris is a fan of the 26-year-old and the club wants to keep him.

But they’re also not keen on getting involved in a bidding war with other clubs, given the Sharks are operating under a salary cap penalty next year and have little room to move.

They haven’t put a timeframe on the Capewell deal but are hoping the player will put pen to paper soon.

The plan was to sign Thompson for a year and then chase someone like David Fafita for 2021.

I think we could be better but we ain’t bad in 2nd row, better off than 5/8. Even if we don’t buy and lose those suggested as going we can put a top 8 team on paddock just a bit skinny in depth unless those future stars come good early on in season.
