Knights v Sharks trial

It's Interesting to see Tim Smith hasn't impressed Flanagan enough over the off season to get a starting spot. Poor Wade Graham if the kid doesn't explode this year the Sharks will get pumped.

Yeah, gotta feel sorry for him, he has no backline to work with at all, he is a solid player though. He dosen't come across as the dominant ball player, he is good playing second fiddle to someone. It's funny that Sharks supporters actually think he will solve all their problems, some even reckon he is better than Mullen!

Beau's perfect oppurtunity to jump in early and put some heat on Rogers.

A huge plus Stone has picked him first up.

In think its very close to what the round 1 team will look like.

obviously the bench is still up for grabs, but 1-13 looks about right to me.

Fa'aso will be trying to cement a starting spot by the looks. Dunno about that, I think I prefer him as a impact prop. But who knows what Stone has in mind. Can't wait till the 13th!!

Is Tolar injured or something? It's not like Stone to drop him in a big trial/game like this.

Will be a good trial I think. However these results can depend who they run on and off the field during the game.

As long as both teams get a good look at combos and hit the ground running at the start of the season with no injuries.

The forward battle should be a great one. I think the Knights have the Sharks in the backs though.

The Knights definitely have the better back line , you are right about the forwards I think they are about equal in that department . Lets just hope there are no injuries I can't remember the last time Newcastle started the season with a full strength squad .

I pray there are no injuries

I hope not aswell, even if it is Tolar who has been a bit out of favour on this forum. Tolar was good against the Panthers, i wouldn't mind seeing him in the team every week if he plays solid, he's a big body & can play much better than Cross was in 2010, if he puts his mind too it.

Sharks should easily have us in the forwards, Snowden and Douglas vs Fao'oso and Tui, both good strong runners, but don't think they are better then Douglas and Snowden.

I have to say that I don't understand why Tolar is so out of favour with many of the members of this forum............ I think that he is the type of player that is the backbone of a club.......... Unheralded but always prepared to put in.
