Knights still solving half puzzle

I think Gidley should play in the halves. McDonnell has done enough to earn a spot in the team IMO. And Wes also showed he can put in a decent performance at fullback. Against the Roosters we looked like a different team with gids leading us around. Yeah his kicking game sucks, but if you put Ndaira on the bench, he would be able to replace DeGois and take some of the kicking duties off mullen/gids.
 
I think Gidley should have a few weeks in the halves. I mean hes had the odd game there since 07 and not been very good, but to say no because "he didnt play well there early in his career" is silly. He is 50 times the player he was wen he played in the halves regularly.

And no i dont think this is because he plays fullback now!
 
Move him in halves for sure & just give it to someone else on the last tackle to kick, that is most probarly his weakness there and im sure if he put in the effort in training he can become a good last-tackle option for the kick, McDonnell isn't a bad fullback at all.
 
The best thing about Gidley's game at fullback is how he organises our front line, he won't be able to do that as effectively from the halves. Another great aspect is his kick returns, he will make solid ground and never surrender and inch and will get us a quick play the ball, something we really miss when he's out.
 
Gids has to go to fullback. I know Wes did a decent job for us last time but Gids should stay at FB...Hopefully Dureau fixes up his defence, it is evident he is working hard at it and him and Mullen there should be fine.

Bloody hell...you have to admire your committment to that guy. I'll give you that much :)

As for what you said. Gids 5/8, Mullen HB, Wes at FB for next two games. Then Gids FB, Rogers 5/8, Mullen HB. Dereau has had his chances. Shouldn't be wasting gametime on someone we shouldnt be and probably wont be resigning.
 
Apart from signing Finch our only option is to continue with what is currently not working, doesnt make sense to me!!

Tyrone Roberts!!! Please Stone give him a game while we have the space over the next couple of weeks. I am convinced hes the man. Yes haters hes young and has alot of work to do but i recon hes the one. Farmer joeys produce baby

Theres other options, recruitment is just not looking at them or too slow. FInch i think isnt an option anymore cos apparantly he is too expensive.

I say give the kid a run, even if its off the bench.
 
Apparently Matt Orford is home sick and wants to come home from England. From central coast and has a home there. He' 32 but still goes alright. What do we think people? Good fit? How much do you recon he's worth?

Depends how long he plays for, and for how much. Dont wanna see him come to the knights just to eat up our spending money so he can use as a retirment fund cos we are desperate.
 
Orford? No thanks. He's just as inconsistent as Mullen with about half the talent. I think he also goes missing more than Mullo does (if that's possible).

I'd go;

1. McDonnell
6. Mullen
7. Gidley
And give Roberts a run on the bench.

Next year;

1. Gidley
6. Mullen
7. Henry (hopefully if we can get him/get can make it to that level) / Roberts

i wouldnt have dereau at all. Mullen is a 5/8-HB, and apparantly he prefers HB as his latest comments imply. Plus he can play the half back game, Gidley cant, he isnt and never will be a HB.

IT has to be 6 Gidley 7 Mullen.
