yeah well, he might start again, sounds like he knew when to quit, the average person keeps going and usually loses it.
Ive councilled gamblers, and been through GA and other programs myself, gamblers never really win, its all about playing and winning then playing again.

Anyone who has worked in pubs can tell you how rubbish pokies are. See Drug addicts and alcoholics I can understand, there is an element of escapism there. BUT, gambling addiction is so stupid, the only conceivable chase is the rush, and if you're playing $5 hits on pokies, surely you're desensitized to it already? I've seen people consumed by it, and it makes no sense to me. The pokies truly are the most soul destroying thing I've ever seen.
