Hi all,

Sorry if I am intruding on the forum as I am not actually a Knights fan, I do however work for Kooga so can answer any questions you have about your gear for the upcoming season.

To answer one I am sure you have already, 2008 jerseys are still a chance for delivery pre-christmas. The delay has been due to the NRL sending out incorrect information for the CORL logo.

The jersey itself is very different to anything you guys have had before. It will contain a lot of the technology that the players have except for the stretch factor. So skin tight jerseys will not be the case! Someone mentioned pricing, 2008 pricing on jerseys is identical to 2007.

Once again sorry to intrude, if I knew how to post a picture I could show you the artwork to the heritage jersey for the April heritage round.

Welcome Mate, no your not intruding and thanks for the info. Keep us posted!

This new technology sounds quite facinating.

i dont think its the manufacturer that brings down the price at the end of the season. I think it is up to the individual shop to decide whether they put a special on their jerseys or not.

1. will the supportor jersey's use the same japanese material that the players will, because that would increase costs etc....

The supporter jerseys use a similar fabric in the main panel without the 35% stretch factor which is in the playing strip.

I know you're excited, but just take the time to read. Haha.

On the pics subject, hopefully we get some decent/high quality ones. It'd be good to get some 2008 newcastle sigs underway.

im almost certain he is refering to the 169.95 price tag that goes all season...and to the person that asked from my knowledge it is ISC's reqest that stocked shops reduce it to at least 75.95 but lower is ok...Never happens with origin jerseys though

yeh the jerseys look swell, but unless there under 100 bucks im afraid i aint gettin one

Im 100% sure they wont be Under $100

Definitely wont be any less than $150 when its released. Especially if they're released before Christmas, sales would be bound to be at a high.

By about early November next year should be when they start to drop. Unless we finish bottom 3, where this shop discounted ours, Penrith's and the Raiders jerseys during September.

I'm liking the new jerseys, bit too much grey on the away one, but i love the new home one, or that just coz kurt gidley's wearing it? lol jks, i really like it, but then i spose i like anything if u stick a knights logo or the words "Newcastle Knights" on it

Hi again,

I will answer what I can, although you guys are answering each other questions pretty correctly.

With regards pricing, the fact that ISC were running out of contract meant that they were clearing jerseys to retail at pretty low prices, hence the lower price at the till. This is pretty unusual. Because we cannot change the jersey for two years you will also find that retailers won't clear stock too much this year as the same jersey will be available in the following year. This is an NRL rule which protects the fans from having to shell out every year for a new jersey to keep up with what the players are wearing.

I don't think any supplier is too keen on the CORL logo as it does muck up the balance of the jersey and make the NRL logo very low.

But I guess the proof of the pudding is when your jerseys arrive in store and you can get a look at them. I think you guys will be pretty happy with not just the jersey but the whole range. The winter gear is also very technical, some waterproof gear and I can tell you that the cheapest jacket we will have at retail will be around $50 fully sponsored.

I have just sent the Heritage artwork to James so you can have a look, just remember this one is not our choice, just what they wore a hundred years ago! It is definitely different.

Welcome to the Forum #1_knights_gal! When you think about it the jerseys arent too bad.

in 09 the jerseys will be different because they wont have the 100 yr emblem on them, so they might want to get rid of all the 100yr jerseys at the end of next yr.

Hey hey hey hey.... back up now you hear!

As for this CORL logo messing everything up, why didn't they do a combined NRL/CORL logo just for this year to save having the two.

Looking forward to the winter gear, I had to buy one of those $100 jackets last year as it was freezing all the time and I wanted everyone to know I was a knights fan. I would love a new jacket! Dave is going to get the silver jersey. I like them both (can't really afford them and happy to wear old ones) but I really don't like the grey socks they look a bit school boy ;)

I would've preferred this too. In the pictures we got back in the paper, the NRL logo was aligned with the Knights logo, with the CORL logo above. But now it seems they've met half way to try to balance it out, and now it looks cluttered. Did Kooga have any say in the arrangement of these logos?

If I was buying a jersey, i'd probably go with the silver one as well.
