Knights Injury and Suspension Updates

I honestly think the refs have to call 'held' a bit quicker to stop extra defenders coming in late when the player is stationary.

Always makes me a bit sick when you see a cannonball under the ribs - maybe they need to start penalising it's not very often after a held call when someone does that, that they actually get penalised.

Yes six out of 17, that’s a third! All of our outs are starting 13 besides Cant. Weird though I think we will still be competitive against the Panthers.

I’m hearing we get KP, Best and Marz back for Souths at home? Be great for the fans and those players to come back then.

I'd love to see Jones get a chance to play under Holbrook.
He had a lot of game as a junior - even played 5/8 for 1 season of Ball.
We have seen a heap of guys suddenly go back to how they played in the juniors - not sure how that would look with Jones - but he deserves a chance to show us if he still has some of the stuff he had when rated the player of his age group in the Mats comp.

The nib Newcastle Knights can confirm the following injury update ahead of Friday’s Round 14 NRL Telstra Premiership match against the Melbourne Storm at AAMI Park.

Sandon Smith has been ruled out of the contest with a moderate grade calf strain, suffered against the Parramatta Eels last weekend.

Smith's return to play timeline currently sits at 2-3 weeks.

Meanwhile, Bradman Best continues to progress through his rehabilitation program, with an aim to return for the Round 16 clash with the Dragons.

Do we have any info on Mat Arthur, inj, still with us, gone?
I've noticed that Parr has a lot of contacts in football and he often finds guys like Miller, Fletcher Myers and others who are contracted here another club to go to - often to a better spot than they have here.
I don't know when the signing deadline is, but I think Parr has a few deals he's working on - we'll be the last to know - Parr says nothing.

Saulo's injury is now being described as an ankle injury, which might be better news.
Foot injuries can take forever to heal, while ankle injuries seem to normally come good a bit quicker.
Although we still have no idea what is injured exactly, so anything could happen.

Just hope it’s not like this one was! It was rather nasty. Poor bloke cannot catch a break.
