Knights Injury and Suspension Updates

the game is way too quick
Insane the idiots (PVL) can’t see the obvious correlation between extreme fatigue and an increase in injuries.

Not only that injuries, but also that errors and poor technique lead to more lazy high shots, head knocks, concussions and suspensions.

How is having blow out score lines, and dozens of players out of action for weeks and months making the game a better spectacle?

Last season was the first time I thought they got near the balance they were looking for rather than games being decided mostly by who can defend better and the response is apparently “that’s enough of that”. I don’t get it.
That’s the most baffling thing.
It was pretty universally agreed, that last year was a very good season.

They already knew from 21 the consequences of too many 6 Agains, so what is the argument for the changes?

Assuming it’s purely based on PVL’s ego. There’s no way there can be any data or facts to support the changes

What other sport operates under the logic that pushing players to extreme levels of fatigue makes for better performance or better viewing for the audience

PVL is so obsessed with AFL and the fact their play is continuous and non stop that he has tried to manufacture it in NRL with these pathetic set restarts.

Probably right but it’s ridiculous for him to compare the two because AFL is a sport that is best suited to being watched live, therefore it needs the constant motion. Meanwhile the NRL is the perfect sport for TV because all the action takes place in one 10 metre area on camera.

So I assume the end goal would ultimately be to break the game down into quarters then presumably to cope with the fatigue, and therefore allowing for more ad breaks / revenue
