The CEO's of several clubs have already shot their mouths off far too much.
We have heard a lot of people try to blame the investigating authorities for saying there is a problem, and many try to build some sort of conspiracy theory.
Now that exactly what we were told was going to happen is happening, the same suspects are seemingly astounded.
It's time people stopped throwing around blame and insults and started dealing with the fallout of the problem that has been uncovered.
As I said when this came up, the AFL used language that said they would co-operate fully and willingly, and a lot of our people reacted like whiney little *****es, and now we are copping the rough end of the pineapple - go figure.

Would love the Manly bit, not so much the Newcastle bit. I'd say its about a 10% chance of being true.

Also what's everyone's opinion on what should happen if it were the sports doctors and etc that were supplying the substances and the players were unaware of them being illegal. Ignorance is no excuse from the law but the treatment given to players can be sometimes absurd in terms of how complex they are. It'd be hard to keep track and learn what's happening.

Guys another reminder no matter how obvious some of these rumours might link to a player at the Knights let's not name player names! It's disrespectful and not fair at this point. Yes most know of the ex players that are at our club we don't need names being tossed.
Any post mentioning of names will be edited or deleted. ASADA aren't mentioning the names, Knights aren't mentioning them so nor should we.

The Cronullla thing will be as bad as this 'crisis' gets. Sensationalism at its absolute finest. No Current Knights player will recieve any form of punishment whatsoever. The fact that they are offering 6 months suspensions for players to come forward now shows that they are clutching at straws. This scandel has taken the heat of the AFL which obviously has a far worse drug culture than the NRL has but they are much better or more willing than we are at covering it up.

This doesn't have anything to do with Newcastle?
If a player is being injected with something then it's their responsibility to know it's not an illegal drug.
Would you allow yourself to be injected with something having no idea what it was?
I really don't see what's wrong with it if nobody is making allegations, and nobody was. It was sensible conversation around who was at Cronulla at that time and who's here now.

Eight former Sharks - now at other clubs - are also in the spotlight.
If the Sharks players go down for what went on in 2011, and it's seeming more likely that will happen, then there's no reason to think that the Sharks players now at other clubs won't cop the same treatment.
Unless of course their new club(s) would prefer to fight it out in the courts, something the Sharks seem unwilling to do for some reason. (Probably as they're covering their backsides, seeing as they club was supplying the supplements).

Well, fingers crossed it's none of our lot. I'd say players will accept the ban, accepting it and getting six months is a lot better than fighting it and being suspended for two years.

It would be something they take for granted though. They probably take these supplements every session so they wouldn't care to ask. It'd be something they do everytime.
Young guys wouldn't either, could you see an 18-20 year old just coming into a NRL squad seriously questioning the first-grade doctors saying its all fine, asking them to make sure they knew what it was. It's the doctor's fault, I know I would never question my doctor because he's someone I trust & someone I would never have doubt in.

Do you reckon the players will be scared enough to take the 6 months? The idea of that tells me the ASADA has very little evidence, I mean why would they offer a pity ban? Why do they care if players get 2 years. If they had concrete evidence I'd say they would have slammed them all already & banned them for 2 years. They want players to be scared into admitting something.
Atleast if it works we will have the druggos out even if they didn't realize they were doing it. But I hope ASADA has decent evidence because if the players stick strong it could get embarrassing for ASADA.

The longer this keeps happening the less I'm concerned. If there is enough evidence on certain players then ASADA would be able to act, the intel they have is obviously weak and hearsay from a whistle blower, which if all these Sharks players back themselves and deny these allegations, the ball would be back in ASADA court to prove this beyond reasonable doubt.
