Joey Leilua

The issues lies within the fact that when there was a new coach he wasn't willing to put in. At least some of the other guys who thought they were too good to be coached by Stone politely took deals elsewhere.

What happens if the going gets tough under Brownie? He'll quit again?

It is interesting how most of those players who went to greener pastures were bought in from the outside and guys like Saifitis Levi Lamb etc all signed extensions despite us winning a handful of games since.

"I get back three players (Joey Leilua, Junior Paulo, Josh Papalii) very unfit and overweight from their rep trip with Samoa, I have a player with medial ligament trouble in (New Zealand forward) Joe Tapine, and I've got Josh out for the best part of the season."

Good luck to Sticky whipping these guys back into shape. Didn't take much for them to let themselves go.
At this rate I can't wait to see their condition come February

LMAO - Couldn't happen to a nicer coach :lol::lol::lol::cry::cry::cry:

lol @ him blaming Samoa for Leilua, Paulo and Papali’s weight. They were all well overweight during the 2017 season before they went into camp.

BJ was in awful shape last year so I'd hate to see what worse shape is, I wonder if it was our bad?

God damn funny read though aye lol.

"Leilua said he had another falling out with Stuart in pre-season, when he was left behind in Canberra for being overweight."

It's amazing how the exact same things happen with this flog every time. Goes for a bit, acts like king ****, that it's all rosy. Then things come crashing down like they usually do.

It's no wonder the Raiders were willing to pay another club to take him, but at the same time most of us here called it that he wouldn't last the length of the deal which is what usually happens.

as well as calling it that the exact same process would happen

Rinse and repeat.

Give him six weeks. And that overweight problem takes his right back to the future when Stone dropped him for the same reason.

The funny thing was he bagged the knights and coaches for calling him out on being overweight.

And then he talks up Stuart as a messiah saying he’s understanding and got his back.

fast forward and he’s doing and saying the exact same thing to Stuart that he said about the knights coaches

amazing how right and how it went to script we all were on here

Ricky turned him into a much better player IMO.
Once ricky convinced him he wasn't always the best guy to have the ball and he could also pass to his winger, he went from strength to strength.
