Joey Johns - For or Against the Knights - or just doesn't care?

This has been bothering me for a while... is Joey still a Knights supporter, because his public face isn't giving that impression. His positive talk about the Knights dried up around about the time the board dropped him as halves coach and it got real chilly when Matthew took over the role for a while... Anyone got some inside info which could clear this up?

Anyone who seen him on the side line last Friday night would know where his heart is. You can take the boy out of Newcastle but you'll never take Newcastle out of the boy.
 
Still seems like a Knight to me, he's just not a big biased guy ... coz he wants to make it as a serious commentator, not do a Paul Harragon.
 
Probably like many on here, he will tip us to win, but deep down he knows we're no show. :lol:
 
Ofcourse he's still for the Knights! If you watch him on any program you can see he is very biased towards the Knights, like Alicia said just not involved as much anymore.

My point is that in previous years he has been very upfront about his support for the Knights on TV and elsewhere. That hasn't been the case this year and as I said, it seemed to coincide with his falling out with the board. It may well be that he has had to modify his approach because he's been told to by Channel 9. That happens. This isn't an attack on Joey, I'm just looking for answers to something that's been bugging me.
 
Yeah like James said he wants to make it as a professional commentator, so obviously he can't be mentioning the Knights in every sentence.
 
Take a sharp knife to him i bet he still bleeds red and blue ( i heard that his blood even conjeals into the knights emblem) lol.

Yeah because professional commentators dont relate every sentence back to their club..... like the dragons, aye wendell
 
Plenty of commentators are disliked for their obvious bias towards one club or another. I'm sure Joey has either spotted that himself or someone has had a word in his ear about trying to remain somewhat unbiased
