Jesse Southwell gone!

It’s ok we can just produce another generational halfback like Jo Barrett said. Then the Broncos/Roosters can pinch them aswell.
 
I’ll still watch the girls, Yazzie etc give it their all every week. They deserve it. Also I kind of have the hots for Liv Higgins.

But yeah it will be hard to actually look forward to now.

I really don’t think the club could have done anything more to be appealing to a young star. Hopefully we get a few good years out of the young U19’s five-eighth/fullback we just signed before the Broncos poach her too. I suppose they’ll need a 6 in a year or two.
 
Evie Jones and Georgia Roche will be OK - but we have lost so much quality.
Maybe try to get Kirra Dibb back, although she never stands up in big games.

They used Keighley Simpson at 5/8 for most of the HVN season. I didn't think she stood out, but she's a 19 year old who was learning the game as she went. Maybe she showed a lot in training and will be a half next year.

Lilly White played at 5/8 in one HVN game - just as a running half - got a good try assist.
 
Have never bothered with the NRLW, read on here about games, players, results etc but that’s it, don’t watch the games.
Glad I never bothered but feel sorry for all those women that are trying to establish the game and being thwarted by a two team dominance that authorities have so far failed to fix
 
This may be my petty side talking, but some pretty good sources on Twitter are saying our offer to Jesse was huge, very comparable with what Brisbane could offer…

… so. Make that offer to Shalom Sauaso now. At the very least it’ll force Brisbane to pay up extra to keep her.

We miss her, see how keen they are to hold onto Keilee Joseph. And so on and so forth.

I know they’re talking “development focus” now, but the young girls will develop better if they’re playing with an elite middle. And I kind of do back the club’s ability to develop spine players, Evie has looked good in her chances, I watched the girl from Ipswich in the U19’s Origin and she’s got something… etc. But yeah if they’re going to try to turn lemons into lemonade, they now have more scope to improve the pack.
 
If I were advising her on where to go, I'd tell her the Roosters are her best option. Strange got her playing out of her skin in origin.
 
That's very disappointing to read.. I think the game still needs people to watch it but in a game that's not very large, nobody wants to watch the same 2 teams win year after year without it even being close. As a fan of the club I'll still tune in here and there but not going to lie that's really put me off..
If the donkeys gave her more money or more benefits then you can't blame her for going, I just hope the NRL step in and put something in place to even up the game going forward.
