I know they have promoted a whole heap of young guys from sg ball, but even before that this Flegg team had not much going for them, then to sack coaches in the last week and come out to hav ethos sort of defeat isn’t a great look for us
We need these flegg teams having realistically 5-6 players showing they can move to NSW cup level and maybe NRL in next year or 2 but there hasn’t been much to show apart from maybe Winter,Hagan,Gow and Nonu

Saints are obviously keeping all their prospects in Flegg and plan to rebuild the top squad with this group. There were a lot of guys playing today who were better than their reserve grade squad from Friday.
Knights have gone the other way and have Hopwood, McEwen, Hunt, Aoake, De Courcey, Votano, Hagan, Winter all playing against men.

Teams that win minor premierships and premierships in Flegg often have very big numbers go on to firstgrade.
In our history, we have got 1 or 2 firstgraders a year out of Flegg, but sides like the 2006 side had close to a dozen go on with it - Snowden, Uate, Paterson, McManus, Dureau, Walsh, Seuseu, Natusch, Gordon (1 game) a few others I've forgotton.

A few of those guys wouldn't have gone on with it if they had come through in a year with no success.

Their best young players are playing first grade. Majority of the starting forward pack that outplayed ours are eligible for Flegg.
